Not really hating, like what was said already just not a fan of making all these threads to promote his CD without actually saying it, whether he intended to or not that is how its coming across.

Real talk though, if you're gonna use a shitty cover like that, release a track from the CD as a sort of demo/preview. Not gonna lie, I kind of want to see if his music is better than his cover, but I'm not paying $5 for it

I'm not disagree with that, I'm laughing at you being quite clearly butthurt that he called your one "unprofessional" when his claim was actually entirely accurate. I guess the true ones sting the most.

I'm not "butthurt" he called it unprofessional because I'm not a professional nor do I try to be. I'm more perplexed as to why he didn't take my advice and get something professional as that's what he was supposedly going for.

I 100% agree with Chuyu though - the cover is a first impression and a reflection of your music whether you intend it to be or not. My first impression of your cover is "small town wedding dj makes a promo cd", mainly because it reminds me of the CDs from all the DJs I would see when I would banquet serve weddings in college. It's not good enough if you're going for jobs on network television. You would have been much better off spending $2600 on your CD and getting a eye-catching cover than $2500 and having a cover which might detract people from listening to your music.

All of the covers in this thread continue to be terrible. Bullshit about "budget," there are plenty of people on the interweb who will make you a significantly better image for a sandwich and a soda. If you "can't find" anyone like that, it's because you need to keep looking. And having your fucking picture on the front of something isn't extremely important. Abstract art works for plenty of people. If you won't get better ones taken, leave your shitty pictures to the liner notes.

Only thing is he wants the cover to have himself on the front of it, and most of his stock photos look like this:

those covers would look better if you just took yourself (and gf) off of them. also take off the embossed font and the genre text. It should simply say DJ Wil 2009 Promo.

If you need a picture of something, it definitely needs to be a quality picture. the 2nd pic in your sig is way better than your cover, i would use that, but with a better font.

and blur filter is not your friend. also, rather nitpicky but make that img a clickable link if you're going to put "click here" on it.

It's "Click Here" because that image, which IS clickable everywhere else, is all over several websites from my own to my agents.
