I wish there was a way to cut out all of the useless story and fluffer screens so that it didn't feel like you spend more time skipping through a completely wretched story and watching 6 loading screens back to back than you do actually playing the game.
Story seems like a bunch of really cheesy anime cliches all tossed together in some badly voice acted segments that make little to no sense whatsoever.
The fighting is incredibly fun though. Animation is smooth, graphics are nice, if a little pixelated in HD. Backgrounds are mostly pretty bad looking though, not sure why they went with that weird low polygon 3d on most of it.
It'll do until KoF12 comes out.
You can skip through cutscenes superfast with R1. Takes like 10 seconds to get through even the longest ones + load times.
I've enjoyed it so far - seems there is a lot of backstory the plot doesn't directly reveal because it's assumed exposition. So the characters know it but the player doesn't.
For instance, what exactly are the Nox Weapons

Weltall... you kick major ass with Noel. Best Noel I've played against so far.
What fighting game had that gripping, epic, well acted storyline again?
Oh, right, it never existed.
You have to at least give credit to Arc Systems for trying, compared to most fighting games which don't even give the slightest attempt at giving you some backstory.
Someone play me right now
w00t, just got my game from Amazon today. Give me one or two days of training and familiarizing myself with the characters and let's roll!
I am borrowing this game from a friend right now. Only about 30 minutes into it but I really like how they did the story mode. And the game is just beautiful.
Anyone else really like how each fight has a little story in the middle instead of how most fighting games have story-18 fights-story.
Imported this a few days ago, it's so much fun and a very good "alternative" to SF4;
All the character are pretty much interesting, expect for Carl, clearing arcade mode for his astral finish was so frustrating...
Been playing around with Rachel and Taokaka, I'm kinda scrubby tho, my PSN is Sey_ (lolEU etc. but I've hardly lagged at all in the few Ranked/Player matches I've done so far) I'll gladly play w/ anyone.
Keep adding me to PSN FL!
Just got Ragna to 75% in story-mode, love how they did it. He's pretty fun, obvious influence from Sol-Badguy the way he plays. Tried training with Hakumen and V-13, Hakumen seems rather difficult while V-13 fun to play long-range with.
Matches against a good Nu are just depressing. Spending a whole match unable to even get close to them makes me want to hurl my fight stick through my TV. I thought Sagat was bad...
Hakumen is a fucking beast lol. Instant counter and specials that chain so seamlessly together. Very good damage and range on his strong attack too.
Fighting her with Rachael is especially annoying for me, Nu seems to be so much better both at range and close up.
