What a turn of events, it was truly exciting. Both firms were heading for a nose dive and now this, cannot wait to see what happens.
Pete is still a retard.
-
I hope this means more Peggy. She's the only character I care about anymore.
-
Once again, Pete tries to be like Don, but lacks the Drape and comes across as a whiny prick.
And yeah, definitely feel bad for Peggy. She thought she got away to make a name for herself and is stuck under Don again.

Shootin' rocks at monsters
Holy smurf, Don turned on the full-out creep factor with the mistress. Pete continues to be a whiny, pathetic little summawhat... I find myself seriously wishing he pulls an opening credits act soon.
-
Don made me nauseous in the episode.
-
I don't know, Pete's life seems to be running away from him. He's lost Trudy and his kid, his mum is going senile and he might be losing his job. I starting to feel sorry for him.
Don on the other hand was way too creepy this episode. I just want him to do his job. I don't want to watch his S&M or whatever side.

It's less that Pete's life is running away from him, than it is that he's throwing it away. Yeah, he's trying to be like Don-- hell, he's trying to be Don-- but he keeps getting caught. He thinks Don is getting away with things, just because Pete can't see the wreck that is Don's psyche. But where I used to feel kinda bad for Pete-- he's tryin' is damnedest and everything just kind of went against him-- now I'm just annoyed at the little piss-ant. He finally started to get everything turning around, and he just threw it away. Hot wife who adored him? Check. Pop-in-law's account? Check. Partnership? Check. Hell, his wife was even letting him have affairs, as long as he was discreet. Not that I think that's great, but there it is. And he just went and screwed it up. Yeah, other stuff happened to him-- the defense contract going away, his mother's senility costing him face time with Mohawk, Don dumping on Jaguar-- but that's kind of normal life and the business. But even those he's just handled so utterly childishly, that I can't work up the least bit of pity for the guy.

I get what you're saying. I guess since I wasn't feeling any sympathy towards Don, I was redirecting it towards Pete.
Also, the cyst that Joan had - it was unclear to me what happened - did they remove it or give her some medicine for it? She was practically in work the next day, so I wasn't sure.

IMO Don is acting the way he is because he's trying to exert control both in his personal life and in his work life because he's losing it.
His wife is successful. She has (I guess?) a successful television career, plus she won an advertising award this season. Nobody else at SCDP did. The whole thing he pulled with the doctor's wife is because he knows he can't pull that shit off with Megan.
Professionally, he's trying to one up Ted. He shows up 40 minutes late for a meeting, Ted calls him out. So, he got Ted drunk at work, and Peggy of all people called him out on it for being childish.
They're definitely unraveling Don this season and it's hitting from all perspectives: the people around him, the viewer, and even Don himself. There's a bit of a parallel going between Don and Pete, but it's more blatant in Pete's case. I really wouldn't be surprised if Megan finds out about the affair by the end of the season and divorces Don as a throwback to season 2 (?) when Betty left Don.

I think as long as Don keeps on being "Don Draper", he will have these issues. When he went to California as himself, Dick, he seemed to be free of all his problems(didnt hurt that he ran away from everything).

I'm almost as bad as Mazmaz
Sweaty Dick Punching Enthusiast
I spent this entire episode thinking Drape was acting the fool because he wanted that chick to go back to her husband because he felt semi guilty. Then at the end where he looked totally confused when she left I was like, oh... oh.
At least the game between Ted and Don has the potential to be fun in future episodes.

What the eff was in those syringes?
-
What the fuck did I just watch?
-
Haha I really liked this episode, best of the whole season IMO.
I think it was some form of amphetamine in the needle?

Someone on another forum suggested that it was this guy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Jacobson

I watched the 11 o'clock repeat, tired as hell, and this episode really fucked with my head.

Betty in dem shorts hnnnnggggg

Dear God, Abe. Poor Peggy. Poor everyone. Are we finally gonna see some character growth in Don?
-
When I saw Peggy with her "spear", I tell my wife that someone is going to get stabbed this episode. Did not disappoint.
-
Too bad Abe didnt die, what a horrid person he is.
