It's Friday and you are still spoilering?
Knowing what I know about tobacco and advertising, Roger was right.
Yeah, what year is the show in right now? Late 60s early 70s is when cigarette/tobacco ads were banned from TV/Radio wasn't it?
Late 1965.
I think we're still in 1964. Don's wild west style gambit last night was based on an actual event in 1964 (Emerson Foote, 1964). What a sad episode it was last night. Heart breaking at times (Midge). And if Bert Cooper really quit, I am going to be a sad, sad, panda. But I laughed hysterically at one point.
Spoiler: show
yeah that was quite unexpected
What was Lane alluding to when he said Pete didn't have to put in any money for the company? I'm guessing they're going to cut Don loose and save a substantial amount of their budget.
"You there, get my shoes!"
"BERT CALM DOWN"
I don't think Bert's leaving so easily. Didn't realize the season finale is so soon, I thought Sal Romano would have popped up at some point
Season starts Thanksgiving of 1964, right after the election, theres numerous references to it throughout the season and this is now end of summer/early fall of the next year so 1965.
They aren't going to cut Don loose because the agency is essentially him, which the first episode, the Clio, etc make clear. Its also teased at with the Draper Draper and Draper joke made by his beatnik ex-gf. Lane isnt alluding to anything though because he flat out says Don paid Petes share. The point being that Don knows Pete doesnt have $50,000 laying around, nor is it a good idea for him to be spending the money he has when he needs it for his family. Also Don knows he owes Pete for the whole North American Aviation fiasco.
Ah ok, my bad.
I love how Sally is starting to truly see exactly how childish her mother is. By next season she's going to be able to manipulate her to her whim, I guarantee.
My time line on this show is all out of sorts. They jump forward so much. Will next week be in 1966? lol. One thing they do well on this show is make the same children actors look like they've grown up a lot in the span of a season.
its still 1965, Sally is about to go back to school

I can't believe he pulled a Sterling for the finale. I am in utter shock, sad for Dr. Miller, constantly liking Peggy more and more and now dying for next season at all once.
I cant believe joan and peggy had a mutual bitching session, or that she kept the baby.
I knew Dr. Miller wasn't going to last. And I get the impression that Megan is something of a femme fatale. She's savvy and has poise. She's calm and sly. I don't entirely trust her intentions and I think that's why I like her.
And can Greg die already? Come on.
