    Yeah, when I do sardines I use a gear mule with level 10 fishing. You hit cap super fast... like 4-6 hours for 400-450 sardines. Some friends target only sardine x3 catches but that will take 3 times as long for 600 fish. Not worth it imo. If I need more sardines I just swap to another gear mule.

    My sardine rate isn't nearly that high. What rod/bait/zone are you using? '~'

    Level 10 fishing (makes a large difference), hume rod I think (whatever the one designed for small fish is), sabiki rig. I usually just do lower jeuno since I'm lazy but port windurst has given me faster rates. If I do sardines on a 122 skill ebisu char my rate is absolute garbage in lower jeuno... like 200 in 10 or 12 hours. Being on lower skill affects which fish bite more frequently.

    I'll prolly take 12~ stacks aiming for 100 haks liek Michelob says. And I use Halcyon+Sabiki I think. I'd previously used a wooden one, Hume maybe? But it can break so swapped to Halcyon. Usually fish Port Windy or Valk dunes (near maw), dont wanna fish in PJ if I can help it, zone's full enough.

    I've broken a Hume catching sardines in Port Bastok only once over at least a couple thousand, and it only happened because I hooked some mystery large fish (which I have never hooked again) and didn't think reeling it in would be a bad idea somehow.

    If it has to do with fishing, it's going to end up being about Haks.

    Maybe it wasn't a Hume rod, either way I broke some kind of rod on them in... Port Windy I think? So after that I just avoided all the "Might break" rods on otherwiki's sardine page.

    Maybe not. The ideas they were throwing around for fishing adjustment might make other fish worthwhile again

    I've never broken a hume rod fishing them on my level 10 mules but I do keep a second rod/lure handy since it said breaks are possible.

    Hello all,

    Thought I should join you, because after reading this post now and years ago when I was playing back in 2009, I came back recently without even knowing about the expansion lol (yeah, living in a cave) and thought... should i try to get that awesome rod that i didn't even started in 2009? So a month ago I decided to go for it.

    1/229 gugrusaurus (got it yesterday 6th April)
    0/139 liks

    If there is someone from Ragnarok server here that would like to offer me his/her services to fish liks for me, then tell me.
    I am only buying fish because instead of WW i have Cooking 101. I tried long time ago to fish Liks and I think I got just two or three after many line breaks and line snaps. I decided that making money fishing other stuff and spending that money on fish was more productive ;_;

    I will let you know about my progress Although my numbers are still ok, wish me luck!

    I have turned in some more, but no luck, 0/250 at the moment! I have spent 8.851.000 more or less in total.

    Mostly because sustaining bait for the ebisu is harder than making another ebisu
