Just a FYI - a solid marketing plan isn't just something you "whip together" in a night. Depending on your product, it can take several months with multiple employees working on various parts of the plan.
You need to make sure you fully understand:
- Your customer
- Your marketplace (total size, growing/shrinking, etc)
- Your manufacturing capabilities
- Your distribution line
- Your advertising capabilities (both stand-alone and in comparison to your competition)
- Your competitors, their products, and their position in the market
That's just the tip of the iceberg, but those are some of the really big things
