I definitely would agree about Parks and Rec, I enjoyed season 1 but it seemed to be trying to find ways to make each character interesting and funny, where as season 2 has been almost nonstop gold. Also agree completely about needing to get to know the characters before you judge the show, in both The Office and Parks the characters are pretty odd and it is hard to get some of the humor unless you know what that character is like overall and not just how he is acting in the episode that is currently on.

edit: always fun to find out all the small roles people picked up before they got their own show; i.e. Kate being a Phone Sex commercial girl before Lots, Claire on Modern Family being Jack's wife, etc etc. Also along a similar vein, its weird how so many bit player in a Matthew Fox movie gets a lost role from it. Richard + Keamy + maybe 1 more person through Smoking Aces, Dogen through Speed Racer. Its like Darlton are asking his advice for casting?

I recently found out that Rickety Cricket from It's Always Sunny and Kirsten Wiig from SNL were "contestants" on that Joe Schmo show that was on Spike a few years back.
