I know I posted in random question cuz I didn't see this thread but: 10yo wowfags, and killing a mob the same time it kills you is bullshit <_<. Oh and using retreating slash to only get rubberbanded back in the mob's face and die.

Is there a masterlooter type deal in Aion? I still haven't really figured out anything beyond the normal roll system.
As far as who gets first loot at a mob, the party leader can set it so that he always gets it, it goes in order, or it's random. They can set the minimum grade of item to roll on, or whether to roll on anything at all. They can also set it so that greys are randomly distributed.
It seemed like a good idea at the time and I've been too lazy to change it so far D:
Also: Lagging to all hell while flying and the timer going down but you just stay in the same spot until timer goes down and you die.
I'm not talking about your mt in particular, just venting about tanks I've come across. Our mt isn't perfect either, I nitpick all the time about stupid shit.
I guess I just got spoiled with a mt I've been playing with for 6+ years lol, having anyone else tank is an adjustment >.>;;
Wait, how do you prevent knockdowns?
I understand its just the people I play with are actually good players but at times it seems that no matter what he does he can't pull hate back.
If your tank has some tips or tricks I am all for it as getting better is what we are all striving to do in the end.
From what I can see as of right now it just seems that its an issue.
Until we know the intimate details on hate and how it works, does it have a ceiling, does it decay, and if there are different types of enmity it is going to be an uphill battle even more so when the DPS catch up in damage.
Unwavering Devotion.
I get knockdowned through Steel Wall and Unwavering a lot. Dunno.
Some mobs can 'learn' through the course of being defeated and respawning, and it is possible for them to have an affinity for certain classes. I've noticed for a while now that a lot of times the elites can be pulled and almost immediately take a side trip to go drop a skill on a sorc or cleric. Not sure you can really do much about it besides the shield bash stun and hope he forgets that plan. They tried to make it more dynamic.
Yea... same here. I honestly think the "resitances" don't work like they should, you'd think with 1k in a resistance you would resist it a shitload, but you don't. Lol
If you're talking about getting knocked down by elites, that shit will happen, no way to honestly prevent that 100% of the time.
There are mobs in kadian hq (elyos) that will attack anything behind them, I would just randomly get the crap kicked out of me for doing anything.
Also the insane krall in hieron have no hate tables, they'll randomly swap targets and beat the crap out of them. Fun times -.-
Seriously, fuck those krall in Heiron. Most ridiculous mission ever. I probably just had a terrible group for it but the drop didn't even seem to be 100% and I died like 4 times.
The Insane Krall seem to change aggro around 50%, and stick on that new target until death. I saw very little variation from this in the ~270 we killed. Never once did I manage to pull aggro back after the hate switch (that I remember..)
So who knows really!
I did notice that over half the time they would switch to our ranger. Dunno if he was second on hate or if it was something else.
Never noticed that Kaidan HQ thing, didn't have aggro issues with them.
Actually, thats wierd.
We had two rangers in my group, and the mobs would always bounce between me and her. It didn't ever really go on anyone else.
I don't think it's a hate thing either because Calming Whisper didn't do shit, lol.
Your tank couldn't get it at all?
Weird. They all were on me for the first half before swapping to someone else (usually ranger or sorc, but it swapped to every other party member at least a couple times). Hell, it even swapped to our Chanter a couple times.
It's also fucking annoying when a sleeping or tree'd mob is targeting me so I wake it up and it beelines for the healer, uses an ability, then runs back to me.
Nope, our tank couldn't ever get them off us. Just got used to spending half the fight running around in circles. No clue what was up with it, I even got agro just sitting there autoattacking for the whole fight at one point.
Oh, another thing.
The part of the aggro system that makes training shit on people so trivial. Benny Lava tried to train us on a fucking green dropping elite in Lepharist today. Unfortunately for them they're terrible!
