Oh, wow, that doesn't sound so bad, then.
After thinking about it, is anyone thinking about doing the 350scroll build for their ranger?
Seems with +attack doubling on crits you get to stack more out of it and you will yield higher damage.
But is that worth 9% attack speed I wonder?
So from what I am understanding it seems like that is a pretty solid build and that's what I'm gonna aim for since the other ways provide more useless stigmas just to get to slightly better ones. The only reason I put trap of slowing in there was to get the speed of the wind greater stigma since attack speed, run speed, and crit +100 is invaluable as far as I understand. My goal in pvp is to hit them hard and fast rather than draw it out, but I'm not sure how effective that is vs. templars. What is the best way to go about fighting them? I'm having trouble fighting against templars that are my level... Inescapable judgement rapes and the only thing I can think of to stall them is either retreating slash or sleep arrow+get the fuck away, but then they just use it when it's back up anyways and stun the shit out of you :/ thoughts?
Rangers are Scissors. Templars are rock. Assassins, Chanters, Clerics, Gladiators, and Sorcerers are paper. Spiritmasters are mushrooms.
Paper beats rock. scissors beats paper. Scissors also happen to beat rock until rock hits 50 and becomes an unstoppable killing machine then also beats paper and would beat scissors but it can't find scissors because scissors are invisible so scissors beat paper and avoid rock and that is called Balance.

Oh if someone would like to outline jump shot for me i can put it in the OP since i have kinda a grasp of what it is, but i just haven't paid attention to it enough because i've heard mixed things lul
All I've done is hold down "w" or "q/e" then jump and spam my skill button while hitting the ground and it works 98% of the time. Lol
Simply put, it's a mechanic to bypass being static on the ground while your shot animation goes off, allowing increased range gain while kiting.
Jump while moving> Release all movement buttons > Hit skill button > Wait until animation has started playing > Resume Movement or Move+Jump for another jumpshot.
Jump shooting
1. Release all movement keys (movement keys must be released or this will not work)
2. Jump
3. Hit skill hotkey
4. Resume movement
When done properly, your character will jump in the air, turn itself toward the target, use the ability as you land, and you can instantly move (i.e. continue kiting nearly seamlessly).
Tips: Run facing opposite from your target to get bonus damage. Do not back pedal i.e. running backwards while facing your target. Back pedaling will give a decrease in damage bonus. Aion auto-turns for you when you use a regular attack or a skill i.e. You don't need to be facing your target when you use a skill or regular attack.
You can also jump shot regular shots. Replace "3. Hit skill hotkey" with "Hit attack hotkey." I do this when all my skills are still cooling down to keep up DPS.
Ah ok gotcha.. I do that already just without the jumping part, i'll get to practicing XD
Something I forgot to add that I find very useful while kiting.
Under the Game Option tab, enable "Show distance to target". Most mobs will lose aggro if you are 30m away. Your skills/shots can only go off at a distance of 25m or less IIRC. This will help you kite without the need to see your target on screen. This allows you to concentrate on your path, avoiding aggro, etc. while maintaining proper distance.
When I tried hitting the skills at the apex of the jump as most guides suggest, the jumpshot wouldn't always work. Since then I've started hitting the skills about a split second right before you land and that worked much better for me. Maybe it depends on the user's settings/latency so I guess the best way to find out is to fiddle with it yourself.
Also, for the shots where you have free movement: Arrow Strike, Gale Arrow, and Entangling shot, you don't have to release the movement keys and the animation will still cancel out.
My question is, does anyone have experience with the double jump shot? I can only do it when Spiral Arrow procs at the moment. It's when you fire a skill almost right on top of the previous shot, if the previous shot was one of the free movement abilities. So far I've only gotten it to work with Spiral Arrow, but I've seen videos posted up with people doing ArrowStrike > Stunning Shot.
Mobs don't deaggro merely because of distance, unless the person with hate is completely unreachable, in which case they deaggro instantly. Most mobs will deaggro given that all of the following is true:
1) The mob is able to move (i.e. not slept, rooted, etc.)
2) The mob is not the target of any attacks or actions from a player for about 10 seconds.
3) The mob is unable to perform an action against you or another player for about 10 seconds.
As long as at least one of these remains false, the mob will not deaggro.
Normal shots have a base range of 25, which increases slightly with the boost bow range passive skill to around 27(?). The range of skills are unaffected by the boost bow range skill to my knowledge. Stunning Shot / Rupture Arrow have a range of 20, most other single target bow skills go up to 25, and AoE skills can be done from 15. The help text on each skill indicates the max distance.
@jump shot discussion: this vid shows what it's about and helped me to understand the concept better, when i had no idea that something like this even exists: YouTube - Aion 25 Ranger PvE
I've done it a handful of times but have a hard time replicating it on purpose lol. Arrow Strike > Stunning Shot and Entangling > Stunning Shot are the two I've gotten it to work with. When either shooting the 3 Arrow Strike arrows of entangling shot mid jump I would hit Stunning Shot. Haven't been able to get it to work every time, though.
