    you kited them i'm guessing?

made a super ghetto cloth magic boost build earlier and tested it out trioing in khq, only cost me about 100k and definetely worth it. only adding ~150MB gave me nearly 200 extra damage on some skills, was hitting a few sparks for 2.5k and divine wind or w/e for 1.5k. by ghetto i mean this is the level 23 greens noble fess w/e with +18 stones slotted lol pretty garbage equip but better than expected results. still don't think soloing will be worth it in such a tight spot as khq is but i'm looking forward to making a decent build later on.

I turned my 2 daevonian armor pieces into the cloth set and stoned them for MB, stoned my attack speed and run speed gloves/boots half mb and half HP, got some cheap green cloth pieces with innate hp and mb and put in mb stones, and got good blue chain sets with full HP stones. MB set works great, especially with MB food and MP regen drink, and it only takes up 4 extra slots in my inv (shoulders, legs, body, necklace). The most I get hit for in KHQ is 2k from the elites' abilities, and I have almost 5k hp in my MB gear so death isn't a real threat. Best recommendation I can give is look for "best of both worlds pieces" if inventory is a problem - I use the quested blue accessories with HP and MB or HP and M.Acc., and picked up a crafted blue ring and earring with hp and m.acc. and use all those for everything. I have a blue neck that has hp and macc, and a green that has mb and macc that I use for solo.

The xp/time has dried up a lot at 40, and almost all the elites at Kishar are ranged, so not sure what elites I should be soloing for good xp now as an Elyos. I'm killing the water elementals in heiron for 40k/kill and they go pretty quick but shitty loot so far and pretty sure elites would be better xp/time. I do guards when I can too, but asmos on this server blow so it's pretty rare I can grind guards anywhere unless the baluar get frisky.

And yeah leather armor looks like shit all the way around to me. Cloth and chain both seem better for anything. It just seems to me like cloth is more rewarding than chain in every way - you give up 2-3 damage per hit taken for 20-30 magic resist per piece, a truckload of extra mp (lol, but it helps), and the same conc/hp/speed stats as the comparable chain piece has. Only downside is no one will let you roll for it, because clerics are healers which means that is all they do. Ever. Rite gaiz? Also seems like cloth is more likely to have the wonderful +hp AND +mb innate combo. Usually chain sets seem to pick one or the other.

As an aside, it hurts my head how every time stoning for MB comes up in cleric chat, someone always feels the need to point out that MB doesn't affect cures. WE KNOW. Fuck.

This has always interested me as well. I was duoing through the game with my mate (me on Cleric him on Templar) and started wondering about cloth. It was the fact that obviously he was taking all the hits, which left me wondering what the hell my chain gear was actually doing for me. In that situation, I felt pretty gimped. I guess the old saying still applies though, "shit's situational".

grind in khq, i was getting 350k/kill on the level 40's as a 37 cleric and only needed 1 or 2 pots per fight (which molar drops alone cover easily), though if there isn't a group or two there clearing out the one safe-ish area i found to kite, have fun with the patrol that could pop on you or the krall shouting for help and linking 6 mobs which happened to me yesterday lol

Just wondering where any higher level clerics leveled at 43. Right now I have been soloing elites in LC, is there anything better?

I don't play much anymore. But I share a friend's account sometimes to busy myself. He's a 45 cleric. I was wondering if there's any must have equip for his level (besides like a Xeno weapon). Is there anything great to spend a couple mil on? His armor seems ok but I don't really know much about Cleric. Plus it takes so long to level up now I figure he'd get a lot of use out of pricier equip.

Just get some gear out of Steel Rake. There are both gold and blue pieces. The only piece of armor I ever had to buy was a shield b/c there aren't really any you can get unless you get one off bollvig or zapiel. You can also find a few chain pieces off the storm circle bosses.

Hmm okay thanks. I was mainly looking at TB stuff because were not real into group activities. He was already considering a sheild because his is old so that seems reasonable. The other thing is he still lacks the group dispel stigma thing that is like 15 mil, but like I said he doesn't group too often so it's not so high a priority.

that stigma is highly situational. I use it more on world bosses than anything else. Sometimes it's just faster to dispel normally

any recommendations for healing on brass eye grogget? i did my first upper today and we got him to like 10%, but he did aoe curse of roots, aoe IJ that did 1300+stun, then aoe for 2500, then aoe for 2k, then another aoe IJ for 1200+stun, and an aoe for 2500. how are you supposed to survive that?

    setup was 46 sm, 46 rng, 46 sin, 48 temp, 49 cleric, and a 50 sorc

lots of aoe healing. the aoe curse of roots is the least problematic part of the fight. alternate splendor of recovery and healing wind mostly while healing up the tank. have 4k dp ready prior to fight to blow off acquittal after he starts yanking ppl in. I would pop it after that and it would help me get everyone topped off. it's really pretty easy once you've done it a time or two. then it just depends on your group DPS not sucking dick and being able to take down adds efficiently.

right after the AoE for 2500 (like 100ms after the stuns wears off, just spam the button until it's up) you should be able to do an healing wind (splendor of recovery is obviously better if it's up)

since the IJ move is his worst, try to save Splendor of Recovery for it, you have enough time for healing wind for every other move (you can even start casting before he's finished casting his sword attack AoE (forgot the name) or around one second after he's finished casting "Activate Amplifier" (at the start of the fight this works great))

also if the cloth/leather users have 3.5k or less HP unbuffed there's nothing you can do for them
