Why are people paying 2.8-ish mill for Failnaught?? How does it compare to e.bow?
Ahhhh ok that makes sense... thanks
Brutal/Fenrir's Earring daytime?
Brutal.
EDIT: Uh, for what though?
60% STR 2.75 mod 1 hit WS:
10STR 5ATT
6STR 2 DA
Assume 150-155 total STR and around 600 ATT
Enkidu's Mitts vs Heca Mitts on Dancing Edge?
Assuming warrior with full DA merits, brutal, pole for 22%.
2 DA is a .02/1.22*.5=.82% increase in damage (this is based on how DAs seem to work for Sam, where a DAed WS is roughly 1.5x a normal WS, feel free to correct me if this ratio is incorrect for you).
5 attack is .833% before level correction, and gets better vs higher level targets.
@150str, you should be fSTR capped already(on birds anyway, Bravura is a higher weapon rank since it hits 99D, so may be harder to cap on higher level mobs), so you're gaining 4*.83*.6=1.992 D. This of course rounds down, so exact strength can up or lower it.
I'll assume you're talking about metatron here, so you're base damage is 99, fSTR is 11, WSC is ~74ish, putting you at ~184 total, 2/184=1.09%
Really, DA is a vastly overrated stat on WS. I think I may have overrated it for you here also, since fTP doesn't apply to a DAed hit afaik. It gives some fun spikes more often, but it really isn't good for total average damage.
Ok, cool. Have only ever done 1 salvage on Valkyris but about to start getting into once Caiti has 75 DRG. Ares body and legs were my main goals but I guess I can back burner ares legs for a while.
Assuming DA is 1.00 thus +36.36%[3.75/2.75, instead of 1.875 > 2.875 on sam ws FM] improvement, and a 22% DA rate before[war, merits, brutal, and pole grip] 100 * .36 * .02 / 1.22[since you're DA other anyways] = .59% more average ws dmg from DA vs 4 str/8 att[5+3 from str] now, 600 > 608 = 1.3% increase, or 600 > 610 = 1.67% increase[this assumes zerk and no chaos roll], and 4 str would probably be one fstr if uncapped assuming you're doing bravura here, probably higher end of fstr so going on high end for example 99+17[116] > 99+18[117] = .86% increase in addition to str mod, so str/att[+2.1~2.5% dmg] should beat DA[+.59% dmg]. I am not positive on this math, pretty sure did it right been while since I did it though.
Edit: fixed DA math
Ya, I wouldn't stress too much on Ares legs...maybe for RR if you can afford a 9dex loss while still hitting your dex tier? But that sounds hard, perhaps impossible.
I didn't bother doing the math, but mentioned it in the footnote because it would just put Ares legs even further behind, when they are already losing by a significant margin, but ya.
Because it's fun.
Our 3rd goliard chap out of countless runs.. naturally I lost the lot.
(compared to E bow it's terrible.. but for jobs that cant use one...)
The subtle blow doesn't hurt solo either, and if I had a K club to go with it...
Sorry about the terrible picture, had to take a dig pic of the screen.
While we're talking about Ares' Flanchard, how do they perform in comparison to Hecatomb Subligar for Drakesbane? Let's say... uncapped dDEX either way, Subligar does not bring you to dDEX >= 45.
Att makes non-crits suck less, but is less likely to give a full boost to the crits due to pDif caps from non-crit (2.4ish) to crit (3.15ish, neither are exactly right currently).
Str makes all the hits hurt more, and DA's are buff as shit for DB/RR type wses.
I'd use Heca if I had em for zerk down, and Are's for zerk up.
Drakesbane bro, this is DRG talkI won't be using Berserk.
