SMN wasn't an official class when it came out originally (Or something to that effect). Diaboros wasn't announced till last minute as a poster above mentioned. It's quite possible for there to be more SMN specific (Read: Avatar) updates.

I can't remember the details either. I think SMN was released before Zilart but it didn't get it's avatars til then. Been confused about this for awhile.

This content appears to have been added already. An item that turns you into a snow rabbit has yet to be found, so it is probably a Christmas item. Tiger NPCs (2010 is the year of the tiger) have been added to all the usual New Years zones.
