So i saw Captain Lahbri was up strolling around and wanted to rally my legion together to kill hit for some goldies >.>

Of course none dropped and some bitch outside our legion looted a blue body away from a lot of other leather wearers in our legion... a few hours later I saw it on the AH for 1.8m, fucking bitch. It turns out that she's my legion's leaders girl and they split it. we're not happy.

Yes we burned him down legit. two well-geared glads makes it pretty easy. It's the second hardest fight in the game imo, but my group is pretty awesome. Takes just under 10mins.

This fight can easily be done with 2x clerics, dps spec/geared chanter (me), temp, glad and sorc/ranger/sin. The only downside is that the fight takes about 15-30 mins depending on how well geared your group is (especially the templar). I've done this with mediocre-geared pugs and with my normal well-geared group.

The hardest part with a pug is actually getting to bakarma (and Draupnir's Cave for the matter lol) in a reasonable amount of time. My static group can get to him in just under 30 mins. Also, with a simple glide across a cliff, a kisk can be dropped on the mountain outside the DC entrance.

Strategy:

First thing, everyone should be expected to have scrolls/pots... that's a given.

Templar and one cleric engage Bakarma. The Templar is the only melee DPS on the boss and takes it down to 75% (any ranged classes can throw in a some light DPS as well). The adds will spawn ~75%, they are very weak and burn down easily.

The same thing is done to take bakarma down to 50%. The next set of adds are the hardest part of the fight. One cleric will still be on the templar the entire time and the other cleric will get ready to heal the group fighting the adds. Once the adds spawn, the templar will use shield/iron skin. Chanter will use Word of Wind and Aetheric Field right away (very important). I always activate word of quickness right away as well. The DPS will focus fire the adds so they go down quickly... basically, burn your cooldowns/DP.

After the adds are dead, it's smooth sailing. Once bakarma gets to 25% he will start an aoe chicken/stun move. This is VERY easy to avoid because he does it in set intervals and you can pot out of the chicken. One cleric will be on the templar the entire time, the other cleric will stay out of chicken/stun range and will heal/dispel the dps. The chanter will be healing the cleric that is healing the templar (chanter will be at max range from the cleric to avoid the chicken/stuns). Once the DPS pots out of the initial chicken they need to run away from bakarma until he does his stun. After the stun goes off, the DPS runs in and melees for 12 secs then runs out of range. If they run out every 12 secs, they will avoid his chicken/stun (minus the very first chicken/stun). Even if a couple of them do get caught with it, it's easily taken care of by the chanter/cleric who will be out of range.

It's not too difficult, and nothing much to brag about since this strat requires two clerics and a chanter. I keep hp/mp mantras up until the adds pop, then i switch to hp/atk/crit. Another thing, I've never done this fight without a glad and wouldn't really try without one. Downed him over 20 times now, and he still hasn't dropped shit...

If people are interested in placement, this is basically what it looks like until 25%:

Have done this with different group setups every time, I prefer Chanter/Cleric/Temp/Glad/Sorc/Ranger. We have our chanter/temp hold the boss while we burn the adds down. We've fought him without a glad a few times, but I would have to agree with Groovebox, it makes it a lot easier.

45min from entering rift to looting bakarmas body, you only need to kill the weak mini-boss and bakarma if you know what you're doing.
