Thanks milkster.
For a little nostalgia here is the link to last year's attempt. Obviously going to change a few things. But reading through that again made me realize how much fun everyone was having.

Just downed 12 jello packs. Dat diet
(sugar free, 5 cals each. 60 cal snack and I'm full as fuck not even thinking of getting candy)
I started cutting for summer 2.5 weeks ago. Down to 184 from mid 190s. I'm hoping I can get single digit bf by 175 and walk around at 180 when I start eating at maintenance again.
Dropped 15 pounds to 224 now. Still eating low until I get to at least 200. 190 is my main goal.
Shit, I'm 165 at 5'10 and I can't put on weight at all. I love to eat, but I don't like eating til I feel full/nauseous full. Any tips?
Ate whatever I wanted in New York but didn't go too crazy I don't think. Tons of walking though. Will see where I sit on Monday and start tracking again
eyoeyoeyoeyoeyo niggas im going to make a bg comp thread tomorrow prolly if no one else steps in. Any input for it to improve upon the last one? Such as maybe separate groups for those that have worked out for a year+ and those who just started out? Monthly or weekly challenges? Custom titles etc?
I'd like to join the fitness competition again if Panda / Reality sets it up. PMing Panda for now. I'm easy on brackets, etc.; just want something that will push me a little harder. I fell off the wagon a bit when work got crazy, but have been pushing pretty hard the past two weeks. Sitting at 196.2; would love to drop to 175.
And my first time working out in ~3 months was full cleans two Fridays ago. I have a lot of work to do...

Might be worth considering whether we can offset the entry start/closing dates, for people that already started on their goals for this spring/summer?
Personally, I started at the beginning of April... so while I'd like to enter, my entry will kind of suck as I'm already a little more than half-way to my goal. If I could offset my entry so that I start a month earlier (I have my before photos taken from then), and end my entry a month before the contest officially ends... I'd be better off.
I think that at least a few other people are in the same boat too?
I'm starting today, but I'm not so much interested in a competition as an extra little accountability / support / place to post progress. Gotta protect my 3rd place finish though (lol 2 votes I think)
I'm interested in doing it this year, more as a way to keep myself on the right path and not really to compete hardcore.
I'll be happy if I can get to my goal of 190.
Do it by weight classes, 12 weeks have a two week entry window and two week closing window. Sonomaa already said custom titles are cool and you (whoever runs it) can do a banner. Since there won't be many people doing this you can separate it into -1 year, 1-3 years, 3+ years working out. You could do strength gains (with videos for verification), most visible muscle gain or weight loss. Set a random fitness goal, like being able to hold a handstand or something.
idk I think weight classes would be too specific. I don't think I have anyone here in my weight class, yet alone anyone who has also been in the 3+ years category
Yeah, not sure there's more than a small handful of 3+ year people (and certainly not if divided further by weight classes). Perhaps just by the type of goal (fat loss, muscle gain, muscle trimming/cutting, or some fitness objective/feat; as Milkster said)... though I guess that would depend on how many people end up joining for which goals.
Definitely hope that it could be attractive to everyone, from the person starting to exercise for the first time to the people doing it for years and everyone in between. Would be great to see a lot of the community involved! Willing to bet just about everyone has some sort of fitness/health goal they want to achieve at some point.
The 3 year+ group would keep it balanced and the casuals would be less likely to drop out like last year.
Yeah should have a die-hard and try-hard brackets lol. While i'm totally into fitness, I can't devote as much time as I would like to it, so I would fall in the latter bracket
