Luna freaked me out when I was little, she was just scary looking as all hell. I just read about her death too.

Week old news, and he wasn't exactly a huge celebrity, but Charles Haddon, lead singer of the band Ou Est Le Swimming Pool committed suicide by jumping from a tower after injuring a fan attempting to stage dive at Pukkelpop.

Sucks, guy was only 22, and the band's debut album hasn't even come out yet. Showed a lot of promise too.
Wow. That's incredibly sad. That song is...infectious. Nice retro vid too. Sucks that this is how a lot of people will discover the band.![]()
eh sounds like a Pet shop boys Tribute band.
They weren't really going anywhere.
If you consider playing at an event that host about 100k people "not going anywhere," you either know dick about the music industry, you're fucking retarded, or you're saying it just to be an insensitive prick.
C, final answer.
Well yeah. It's BG, and it's Rhino, so it was obvious. Just playing ball with him.![]()
Its a European event. How many venues in the states host 100k people in it? have you ever been to a European 'festival'?
being an Opening act at an Annual event means dick.
Think of it is being the opening act in the second stage of Ozzfest. How many of those bands go on to be anything other then Opening acts? Not many
I'm not saying they're trash. I'm saying just because you get a gig in Festival that hosts many American bands that only come once a year doesn't mean you're going anywhere.
Ironically enough, my guitar player did that for the Music as a Weapon tour with his metal band (http://www.myspace.com/seventhdenial) this past year. It netted them 4 Indy label offers that they declined thinking they'd get something bigger. They never did, and labels won't consider you again after being turned down. They're some young kids that didn't realize how rare that shit is, and ended up wasting the opportunity.
Edit: In other words, it does mean a lot. Exposure is everything, and you never know what will net you an opportunity.

I enjoyed his stand up. Almost seems kind of sad that after fighting through a heart attack and cancer, that he's taken out in a car accident.

The guy from LFO died as well, you know, the one who likes girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch.
