its true, your honor
this man has no dick
Again, not unique to this situation to have outcry when you change even the smallest thing about a classic in a reboot.
Yeah, you probably could argue that nothing particularly important about the Ghostbusters' story is exclusive to it being a bunch of dudes, but it's still a significant change. Nothing about Spock's character *requires* him to be a white male either, but if the next Star Trek reboot featured a fat black lady Spock you can bet it would upset people - and most of it would have nothing to do with people not liking fat people, or black people, or women.
Tyler Perry's Ghostbusters. Kevin Hart as Venkman. Ice Cube as Ray. Gabrielle Union as Dana. Anthony Mackie as Egon. Jaleel White as Louis.
"That sounds bad."
RACIST!
(Also Ernie Hudson was 8th billed for the original, what the fuck Hollywood?)
Also cut out of the Ghostbusters "complete" set of Pop! Figures: http://www.amazon.com/Ghostbusters-C...ostbusters+pop
Don't change GB. ;D I need to rewatch again.
apparently they're now doing a 2nd reboot with all dudes and terrible forced "shared universe" shit or something
mcweeny on hitfix said how he'd like to see a london office of ghostbusters and i agree. hell if the cornetto bros (nick frost, simon pegg, edgar wright) did a ghostbusters i think that would be pretty goddamn awesome
get richard aoyade in there
Just saw this, seems like it could be good :D

Paul Feig decided to disrupt Twitter on Wednesday by dropping this bombshell: Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, will appear in the director’s female-led reboot of Ghostbusters as the ladies’ receptionist.
Sigh.
Maybe he'll gain 50 pounds and run around shirtless then?
I'm not really sure I can see him as a receptionist, but I think it will be kind of funny. Even better, if it were actually Thor as the receptionist and not just some male character that Chris Hemsworth is going to play. Thor as a receptionist is something I could totally get behind.
Shakespeare in the office?
Getting a shit movie is exactly what you forever-nostalgia types get. Just let a good thing be. Ghostbusters was a fun movie that doesn't need to have its skeleton exhumed and repurposed as another intellectual property zombie.
I think its just enough change for this to actually end up being funny. We'll see.
