i really hope they don't recreate the spock death scene from STII, it does make it look like they might but maybe they are using this to make us think that. maybe not. i just really hope they don't try and replicate one of my favorite and most memorable scenes.

I thought I had seen something that said only December 14th, but all day, not sure so grain of salt and all that. The site he linked says "Starting December 14th" so I get the impression it may be for all IMAX 3D showings for a while, but who knows.

Some more footage of Star Trek Into Darkness was screened for select members of the press, and there's a couple bits of new information that I'm sure fans would love to know! First, it's been confirmed that Klingons will for sure be a part of the movie, which is something I already thought was confirmed. But, a second confirmation from some recently screened footage won't hurt. The second part is that Alice Eve's role has finally been revealed to be Carol Marcus, Kirk's love interest and the mother of Kirk's son David in the original story line. Not sure if this sequel will follow that background, but we'll see.

This is some exciting news, and it will be interesting to see what role the Klingon's will play in the story. They were originally supposed to be in the first film, but they got the cut. I love the look of Abrams' Klingon designs that have previously been released.

Can't say I'm a fan of new Klingon look. Their faces look like some sort of helmet. Hard to beat out the TNG redesign of them imo.

? Pretty sure they are wearing helmets. Probably trying to mix in iconic Star Trek bad/tough guys without getting all dudes-in-rubber-suits that alienates (lol) typical non-SF fans.

I know that's Abrams signature effect but I hope there isn't as many in this film as the previous. It's bad enough when he over used them on Fringe. And also I agree that TNG Klingon design was pretty awesome. These ones look like helmets.
