Version Update Announced! (2/23/10)

Update announcement, not much in the way of details at this point:

We're pleased to announce that the development team is hard at work on the next FINAL FANTASY XI version update, which is currently on track for a mid-March release!

As always, a host of new additions and enhancements are in store for you, the details of which will first be unveiled to the public at VanaFest 2010 on Sunday, February 28.

Those unable to attend the event need not despair, as extensive coverage will be provided via the VanaFest official site and Topics, including a streaming video feed and multilingual commentary from the international community teams as previously mentioned in this space. Don't miss out on the festivities!

Its a small pic so idk but to me it looks like hachiryu boots and o.kote so if anything it might be a new MNK/SAM/NIN JA (can't tell what weapon he's using). Definitely doesn't look PUP though. And as far as I know that animation could already exist (I don't play those jobs).

They wont finish the missions before they finish the nation quests.
Expect at least 1 or 2 more story updates after the next one.

Why ? The last quests give a pretty nice staff with unlimited retrace charges, which sound pretty much akin to rank10 mission rewards etc.

Yea looks like, Synergy, WotG missions, and more campaign adjustments. Pretty much what I expected. Well I'll have fun doing the WotG stuff for 1 day then its back to the same old stuff again.

Everyone agrees that there will be new missions. The debate is as to whether or not this will be the final set of missions.

It's all stuff completly expected. Nothing to see here. I still havn't unlocked synergy and nothing of value was lost.

The 3 nation stories all ended with a big cliffhanger, so i doubt that was the finish for them. Unless they tie it all up in the upcomming missions though, but i doubt it.

Considering they're not done with city missions yet. I highly doubt it.

Way I see it, this update will be the 2nd to last batch of missions, next update will be for the final batch of missions, then the update after that will FINALLY conclude WotG.

Either way I hope that these aren't the main highlights of the update, because if it is that's pretty bad....

Well, I don't think we can expect too much more than just missions / etc... SE has had a habit of switching updates between Missions and general adjustments. Since the last update had the NMs, Synergy, etc, etc... this patch will likely be entirely mission related. I doubt we'll see any type of job adjustments.

It's the god damned update teaser, it has NEVER had any information in it. You are right, there is no fucking info in it AS ALWAYS... because there never was any information in the fucking UPDATE TEASER.

I doubt that, they will save the best stuff for vanafest to make it a better show
