I know this is BG where people tend to just say whatever they want without fear, but generally NDAs for beta tests are fairly strict and whereas SE can't ban you from FFXI for talking about botting in a forum, they can and I wouldn't be surprised if they do ban people in the beta for talking about it in a popular community forums.
So yeah, you're doing it wrong.
There's a difference between banning from the live game and banning from a beta test. AFAIK there are legal issues with them making assumptions from forums profiles/posts and using those assumptions to ban from the game. Beta testing is a mutual favor, you are giving them your time, they are letting you play their game. They don't owe you anything, including an explanation for banning you from the beta test.
i renamed this thread so everyone would stop making "OMG I GOT INTO ALPHA" threads, any more of then gets a banzerfaust
Ah! Didn't get in, but since I'd really rather participate in the PS3 beta, it doesn't mean too much.
Maybe my buddy, with a better computer than mine, got in...
Meh, Nice to hear there is going to be an Open Beta for all of us who fail at getting any invites
Is there any mention of an NDA or being unable to talk about/screenshot/vidcap the beta?
oh darn. i deleted a SE mail today cause i was thinking it was the same FFXIII EU-tour bus promo spam again
lol

EU account, active full time since a month or two after EU release, for what it matters. Got email 12:45:13 UK time.
.
Question anyone recieved the email using hotmail?
Yeah I got accepted. Didn't think it would happen either.
I doubt they would honestly care for people saying whether or not they got an email. Like someone said previously, people could be lying. What will they do to determine who you are? Look at forum name, which could be misleading, then find what your SE account is and ban you? Unless you post images of your email account and other personal info, I don't see any harm in saying you got in.
guys who got the access - did you have you square enix members account linked with playonline ID?
