Testing went smooth as silk because only 20,000 testers were admitted, then when 100,000 people try to login the first day of service the entire system goes OMGWTFBOOM.

Why don't you just download it once and copy it to an external drive instead of downloading 10gb twice?

10gb doesn't take that long to download.

Hopefully it means people won't have to try 10 billion times to get updates on patch day, like when FFXI was starting out.

I hope for at least an auto-retry feature so you don't come back 2 hours later to find out that you got an error just after you left the computer, and have to babysit the computer while you keep trying over and over until you get through.

I am really tempted to believe the P2P system is only for the beta and that the release will be done through Steam (incl. updates)...

Steam servers can be quite terrible at times, but they're 100x better than SE's.

no, as said multiples times before... prolly even one page back.... PS3 beta wont start until well after PC beta does. This is PC "Beta", different from PC "Alpha"
