Main problem with Campaign and Besieged is that they favor numbers over skill or dedication. It is pretty much pointless not to be serving under san d'oria in Campaign. At least back in the day, when people did some Expeditionary Forces on my server, it usually one LS vs one LS vs one LS.
I hope quests do not become exp-reward centric. I rather have a handful of quests each update which are more centered on their storyline or challenges. If they feel like slapping an exp reward to that kind of quality, fine. Same with missions/quests vs raids.
On the other hand, having an expanded version of MMM should be enough to handle experience points and equipment slave drives.
Stackable potions confirmed, eh.
more importantly, are potions actually useful this time around (outside of specific fights etc) or are they still crappy 1500g for a freaking 50hp gain after 3 second cast time.
As far as sending tells go, it may be something like where you can right-click and send a tell to that person from a search window or from the chat log. That way you won't have to type in the first and last name.
Nice one
Every time I want to send anyone a tell, I'll just go ahead and add them to my friends list!
I want you to take your hands off your keyboard and think about what you said for at least 30 seconds. You'll realize what a dumb comment that was. It'll probably be a unique first name/last name, and the other name will be for show.
I'm so excited!
Hopefully someone will write about how the classes work together as soon as possible.
I am really interested to see how they implement the First/Last system. I would love to hear that the last name is unique and shared on all your characters on a server. With the first name being vanity. Remember Warhammer had a last name system that was both optional and pure vanity. I really do hope that one name is such. If you have to type full names to whisper/invite/block people it'll be flat out annoying. But look at it this way, you arent EVER going to have to be typing /ma "Cure V" Dumbass Mcshay like you may have done in XI at some point.
so now you can be both Cloud and Sephiroth.
Amazing.
Having one of them be unique makes the other one kinda pointless.
Dumb? Just responding to lazy whiners. Is it really that much of an inconvenience to maybe type a few more letters? The friends list comment was just an example on how idiotic some people are sounding. It was meant to show typing out an extra word is still better then what I mentioned....
Anyways, it would be nice if the PM function had a reply key like in WoW. Someone sends you a PM, hit R (default key) and opens up the command for you to respond back to the person who last PM'd you. If you're talking to multiple people at once, hit R and cycle through the people with TAB. Worked great.
If you've ever heard of a Korean MMORPG called Granado Espada (I think the international version might have been changed to "Sword of the New World" or something), they did something like this.
The whole idea is based on the European colonization of various other countries set ~1400s and when you create a character, you start by making a family name. Then you create a bunch of characters, all of which belong to that same family, which is tied to your account. They even had a system where you'd play by controlling up to 3 characters at the same time, making your own family's sort of 'mini-party', have a family reputation and form alliances with other families. It was actually pretty cool, and a total 180 from what most Korean MMOs play like (it did unfortunately turn into a grindfest after a while, but it was tons of fun in early levels when grinding wasn't too bad).
