Where do you see this advertised? All I saw was i7 2700k for $199. Which isn't bad at all.

$50 Discount off Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 version. The reviews make this sound terrible for such good specs, but if you're looking for one anyways, here is an offer.
Windows 8 Pro Upgrade on sale from Microsoft for $40 until January 31st.
It's worth noting that you can upgrade all the way back to Windows XP SP3.
Newegg has this on sale today: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc..._-20147190-L0A
For those not clicking the link it's a Samsung 500gb SSD for $279. Any have experience with that hard drive or Samsung SSDs in general? I dont have a SSD for my computer yet and that looks like a decent buy. I'm stuck without a computer at work today and my phone is going to die soon so I hav to use my time sparingly.
It's not the pro, but it's still one of the best SSDs out there. Good price, not great. I have the 256gb version. Also, it's a bare drive, so make sure you have the equipment needed for mounting.
All my storage devices are Samsung. 2 HDDs and 1 SSD. I have the Samsung 830 128g SSD. When I first got it, in like November, it was crazy fast. A few weeks ago I noticed my boot time increased slightly. I did a fresh install of Windows last Sunday. Made my boot time even slower. Maybe I'm just a noob with SSDs. Their storage devices are awesome. Mine has just slowed down a bit.
Grab a copy of Samsung magician and it should give you additional info on the status of the drive.
Thanks for the tip.
Also, it says my Os is optimized for use with a HDD. How do I remedy this? I don't really understand all the configuration options listed.
Edit: I think I figured out the optimization thing.
Make certain AHCI mode is also enabled in the bios.
It is.
So, the mother unit was bugging me about laptops and I basically know fuck all about them. Figure something cheap that's good enough for basic interneting, maybe watching HD vids without chugging, and probably never used for any kind of advanced gaming. Any deals floating around? Could even entertain buying a used laptop from someone here if it's in good condition.

Microcenter dropped the price of the i5 3570k to $169.99, they also $40 off when you buy the motherboard from them if you buy any of these processors
Intel
Core i3 3225 $119
Core i5 3570k $169
Core i7 3770k $229
AMD
FX 8350 - $179
FX 8320 - $149
I want Microcenter to have my love child. Alternately they could make a store in Virginia Beach, that would be fine too.
Damn it man, I am looking to upgrade to an 3570k right now and that is a sexy sexy price... Why o why can't there be a microcenter closer to me T.T
Some things are just so unfair. lol
GTX 770 released today, faster than the 680 for $399. Wish I could sell my 670 for $345. >.>
honestly a 670/680 -> 770 isnt really worth it anyway. if you absolutely have to upgrade, save the extra scratch for a 780
