Depends, do you plan on using more than 250gb? A lot of games and most apps utilize the extra speed in some way or another. I personally would like to add more SSDs eventually since I can't fit all of my games onto my current 320GB of SSD space, but I'll keep a 1TB HDD for music, images, and games that really don't utilize the extra drive speed (like FFXI).

    Does anyone know of a good motherboard for the I3 , I5 , I7 line 2500k/2600k + I think the socket is 1155 iirc?

Trying to find one and I've had terrible luck with asus boards audio driver issues with two, power allocation being an issue, and a broken ram slot. I haven't tried their sabertooth line but the P8Z77- V LX lines and the standard V Pro or w/e I've had issues with the older models as well.

I don't see any reason not to as long as you can use the extra space for frequently used programs that don't fit on your first one. SSDs are about as good of a return as any upgrade, unless there's something else specific bottlenecking your rig. 50 cents for a GB is near the cheapest I've seen.

Been keeping my eye on this bad boy for a few months now waiting for the right moment.

As of yesterday it finally hit Sub $300. Get em while its hot! Hopefully it will keep hitting sub 300 with more frequency, as its been constantly fluctuating up and down between 309 and 330 up until now.

I'm not here to discuss EVO Standard vs Pro series.

I did the exact same thing. I took my i5 back to Microcenter for a full refund trade in for the 3770k like 2 months after I bought it though. >.>

Man, I was about to do that since I wanted the HT for virtualization and the discount is huge, but the 3770k was out of stock for more than a week. Got lazy after that. Still, the rig is still pretty solid since i got it in '12 paired with an EVGA GTX 660SC, no complaints whatsoever.

Last time I was here, people were talking about how IPS monitors are a huge upgrade. I'm running a 24" TV that I use as a monitor, would this be an upgrade for me?

    tl:dr/Link = 23" IPS monitor for $129.

Read this to help decide if you really need an IPS display vs something else

    http://www.slrlounge.com/what-is-an-...g-ips-displays

Generally for gamers, response time is pretty important which is the main weakness of the standard IPS.

So if I'm going to spend money on my computer, stick to CPU/GPU upgrades, got it! Thanks.

Depends on the weaknesses of your current setup, but IPS isn't a huge boost for gamers unless your current display is really shitty.

I just got an IPS and while it is great, I wouldn't stress it if your complete setup is lacking.

$540 from Newegg or Amazon. Stupid cheap for a great projector especially if you get no tax from either. Its the one I own. The built in speaker works far better than the bravias, for those without surround sound or when its not needed.

Crucial has refurbished SSDs on sale. Come with 1yr warranty. M4 model. Site has been getting hammered so it may take awhile to process the order. Best way to check out would be paypal. Get them while you can!

Looks like Crucial is already out of stock or have raised prices. I ordered one 512gb and three 256gb. After hemming and hawing I decided to order another three 256gb.
