it's called Torchwood
Speaking of torchwood, when does the next season start
Also, the Doctor has had male companions before: Ian, probably a ton more in all the old seasons, Captain Jack, that one british guy from the dalek episode that went with them to satellite 5, Mickey, Wilfred in the end of time, just to name a few. Although most of those (with the exception of Ian) aren't really "FULL" companions. Would be nice to see another full time male companion
no idea about TW
I heard in the *shudder* American TW they made Jack a straight dude
<3 Jack, need more of him
On another note, really was happy with first episode aside from lame theme song. Amy's so cute!
New episode today
Doctor Who- Series 5, The Beast Below
Amy Pond takes her first trip in the TARDIS when the Doctor whisks her away to the distant future and they discover Britain in space. Starship UK houses the future of the British people as they search the stars for a new home. But when Amy explores she encounters the terrifying Smilers and learns a deadly truth inside the Voting Booth...
Not that great of an episode tonight, I thought. Something about it just didn't click with me.
Not bad, shows he can kinda be... I dunno, not just goofy. I enjoyed it.
I liked it, especially the conclusion.
I generally hate "future" episodes, at least "future earth" ones. Although when you're off in some random planet the date doesn't really matter I guess? lol
Anyway yeah, I much prefer either present or past episodes, (I'm a history nut ) and the little preview for next week looks FUCKING AWESOME, I'm psyched!
Does anyone know where you can watch the second episode? I tried going to the official site but of course it said "not available in your area" -_-
The thing I didn't like was how many times they drew out the allusion with the whole "old, caring.... the last of his kind" thing for the starwhale. Like... we got it the first time, you don't need to have Amy say it 2-4 times and look at the Doctor all slowly every time. Other than that, I thought it was really good.
The episode for next week I'm kind of 50/50 on. The story sounds good, but the scene they showed with them fighting in ships in outer space looked very Star Wars and not very Doctor Who like.
thanks
Awesome episode. Smith is really growing on me. Looks like next weeks episode is gonna be awesome too. I need to forget this exists until the series ends so I can watch it all in one go, waiting a week between episodes is painful.
Something felt missing in this episode, like it was too rushed.
That said, I did enjoy it, more as it got towards the end, and dying for next week (I believe it's a two parter, I may be wrong), River + Weeping Angels = Win. Expecting Silence in the Library epicness.
link anyone?
Oh god that was so fucking amazing, classic Doctor Who right there.
Throw in a good chunk of history, add in Daleks, what's not to love?
Spoiler: show
YOU WILL PROVIDE
Thanks ^^
