    afaik weapon with latent DMG, faerie augment(...) ranks are based on base dmg. It might the same for magian.

    Yeah, there's a pretty clear system it seems.


    The first set seems to go to just basic weapons with really high dmg but so-so delay.

    2nd set leads to the multi-hits, which result in a choice between doing a TON of kills for something with shitty damage but multi-hit capability, or abyssea hnm drops for very, VERY nice multi-hits.

    3rd set leads to stuff like str+4/att+12, dex+4/acc+12 etc., and at some point branches into defensive options like agi/evas as well.

    4th set leads to lots of special attacks-- some with +magic evas, mirrors with add:magic evas down, etc.

    Scythe multi hit path is

    512>513>514>520>521>522 ending with 10 Verthandi eye, resulting in

    d78/del528, occ atk. twice

    512>513>514>520>521>523>524>525 with another 1500 kills instead of the eyes, resulting in

    d44/del528, acc atk. twice


    depending on what extent the r/ex tags matter with the different named results, it appears dual wielders can do something like katana with decent dmg and multi-hit as offhand, katana with either crazy high dmg or medium high dmg + dex/acc or str/att as mainhand


    cuz yeah, as you go through you get completely different weapons from the same base weapon depending on which path you take

    Actually, scratch what I just said about first/2nd etc. sets, the basic info is right but they're in different orders on different weapons.

    Er, well, it's not that exactly, I just kinda combined them.

    It's like, first one is path a>choice 1, 2nd is path a>choice 2, 3rd is path b>choice 1, 4th is path b>choice2. Path c and d would be relic and mythic.


    edit: so, the good multi-hit axe is war usable, 46dmg, 312 delay pick... wonder how that + ridill is going to stack up to the gaxe

    And one of:
    - Added Effect: Weakens Attack +10
    - Added Effect: Weakens Defense +10

    - Added Effect: Weakens Accuracy +10
    - Added Effect: Weakens Evasion +10

    - Added Effect: Weakens Magic Attack +10
    - Added Effect: Weakens Magic Defense +10

    - Added Effect: Weakens Mag. Acc. +10
    - Added Effect: Weakens Mag. Eva. +10


    It seems most weapons follow the same pattern. The values differ from weapon to weapon, but the effects seem to be the same. What I don't understand is the difference between the two "Occ. Atk. Twice" weapons. Maybe the proc rate on the low damage one is significantly higher?

    Other than that, all relics and mythics only have two augments, both of which just add some amount of DMG.

    Yeah... I had found that to be true as well, except for staves and ranged weapons. Which is why I stopped looking. Seems like having a magic defense down weapon as a thief or something might be nice for everyone else, since we all know the only useful dagger they have in endgame right now is the THF knife.

    I know BLU has some interesting modifiers, so maybe they can get something good out of the different mods.

    Other than that it seems the way to go is the high damage weapon or the (good) multihit weapon. I haven't personally picked a winner yet, though the gun is good for COR QD, and from the little I know about the job the SAM weapon seems a likely pick.

    Has nobody found an Eye of Verthandi yet? Need ten for the last attacks-twice scythe upgrade but it doesn't look like they come from VNM judging from this thread...

    Any idea if the lowbie NM kills can be done with an Alliance?
    Tahrongi is getting crowded and I don't want to spend much more time camping Ishtar. :/

    A friend is doing it with an alliance of 75's, and each Ishtar kill is counting towards the objective.

    This is a possibility, but on the other hand the items required for the high damage form require SIGNIFICANTLY more work.
