Many aren't better. There's still nothing better than a Tizona for BLU, and I'd fucking love to have one, but when the cheapest alexandrite I can find is 4,980 per piece I'm kinda fucked. I'm just not willing to shell out that kind of gil for a weapon along with everything else involved, especially with the trials that follow. Why SE hasn't done something to at least keep the weapons reasonably attainable (and I'm reaching here given their idea of "reasonable" with the original questline) is beyond me.
perhaps a good thing SE should try doing is releasing minimum player requirements in Nyzul, Assault and Salvage.. and making T4 trophy drops 100%...
they should probably consider slashing zeni trig prices or upping soulplate appraisals. i dont think anyone minds doing easy NMs repeatedly at this point.. its just that stuff like gaining zeni become ridiculously time-consuming, even if u're doing it on Euvhi..
alternatively, let alexandrite drop from some other more accesible place (not likely if keeping with story)...
slashing alex prices again might help, but not by very much if no one does Salvage anyway
naw it was tested afterwards saying it randomly AOE"d your spell kind of like the randomness of the cor AFII head.
people still do some nyzul for specific peices of gear but it would be and its definitely easier to find people interested in nyzul over normal assaults.
Sadly i have enough ampoules for a second mythic and 1/5 the way on tokens...
I wonder if Square thought people would continue to do salvage like everyone continues to do dynamis.....
need win for title portion too.
That said, DD mythics are more competitive with relics than ever before. The % base damage difference has shrunk and the realism in assuming you can keep AM3 up full-time has increased (Eve's Atma, increased AM3 duration, etc.).
It's a shame that the weapons are entirely inaccessible and require nearly 10000 monster kills to make them viable.
Were it not for the Alexandrite requirement, I would've considered going for a Mythic. Even once you handle the title requirements from Chariots, Odin, and the beastmen bosses, you're still stuck needing the ZNM drops, Wyrmseeker thingy, Eyepatch, and, at minimum, 50 days to do the needed Assaults (Much more considering Nyzul, I guess... so at least 150?).
1) Remove character # requirement on Salvage.
2) Slash Alexandrite requirement down to 15,000.
3) Make Alex drop in increased quantities and from more monsters.
4) Cut down token requirement to 100,000 and ichor to 75,000.
5) Make T4 ZNM pop items 100%.
7) ???
8) Profit
It's the simple things that would make mythics much more appealing.
All I have left is alex, 25 assaults and one T4 pop item, but seeing Alex @4~6k a pop on my server is depressing like a motherfucker.
They only need to take out the alexandrite requirements, everything else can be pritty much triod, I just hit my 150k nyzul isle tokens, 30k of that was just recently triod.
But the Alexandrite part is the part that is worrying me the most... (I am going for Terpischore)
1) ZNM trophy -> title
2) New major source of Alex.
3) Decrease the Ein requirement
4) Decrease the NI requirement
5) Dramatically decrease the magian trial requirements.
That would make me consider Terpsichore more seriously. As it is, I am 6 months away from it without an LS that does any of the required events and with no other reason to join one.
when SE said the Bastion monsters would drop treasure and i saw what they was, my mind went "what? oh yes i can finally make my Kenkoken!" i've yet to get a drop or hear of anyone getting any sort of drop from bastion mobs (so presuming there was a typo on SE's end) but Mythic's are just :/ wiffy
Ryunohige is now as bad as all the rest of the relics for DDs. The two new jumps always crit 100% of the time as long as your pet is out and with its tp return giving about 100 tp with /sam on a DA proc is crazy. Basically if you have a pet you use the two new jumps now and if the pet dies you use the old ones. Also if you have the AF2+1 legs and you want to shed additional hate you might pop an occasional high jump but thats situational.
Thank god I did Gungnir vs ryunohige.
I don't know what you're talking about. Ryunohige rapes the everliving shit out of Gungnir. Apart from the fact that the "forces crit on Jumps" was never confirmed apart from someone's eyeballing at the original mythic demo (as far as I know), Ryunohige doesn't need to do anything to Jumps to be better than Gungnir.
The largest weakness of mythics was downtime with AM3 up and the subsequent build to 300TP again. On Dragoon, assuming you have Eve's Atma and use a 300TP Drakesbane to killshot something and reactivate your AM3, then sit there and afk for 3 minutes while your AM3 runs out, you come back with your WS TP return + 120 TP from Eve's regain + Soul Jump (triple TP return) + Spirit Jump (double TP return). You're well over 200TP right away again. AM3 should pretty much never be down.
Factor in Brutal Earring and Pole strap and you're probably running about a 50% DA rate on Ryunohige vs. a 7% DA rate on Gungnir.
isn't the Dragons Whisker just straight out better then Gug anyway? no offence to the drgs that actually have it but....yeah you wasted your gil a ws thats mod is AGI is...yeah and it doesn't stack with Angon...i'm finding it hard why i'm trying to compair something so overly flawed :/ of course ryu's flaws are the crafting of it and not itself
I didn't mind the zeni farming so much as I loathed the limit to the number of plates you could turn in per game day. That pissed me off more then anything doing the mythic quest.
