Not mine (obviously, LSmate's). Far and away the highest WS I've seen on Tutewehiwehi

That's the second highest I've ever seen in delve lol, the first being a 26k shoha on urag in henne delve.
Before update:
After update:
me gusta. From the update notes it was unclear to me whether they had buffed it or nerfed it.
Was this a before and after the big ws updates or the more recent fix to some of the staff ws? I never did get around to testing that one so couldn't say for certain if it was broke before this last set of fixes but seeing as pretty much all of the staff ws were improperly adjusted during the ws update fairly certain it was probably broke before
It was before/after the most recent update.
Yeah if I had to guess they probably did something silly like made it 20% int mod instead of 80 similar to how they did with earth crusher. Possibly even forgot the new level factor like the light staff moves
Also I like how Wasp sting has been updated

Is that stacked or unstacked?
Stacked but solo and /DNC. SA/TA/AC(trusts). Best I could do unstacked was around ~2k. Though my gear isn't perfect, I have no doubt a fully geared THF could easily get to 8k or more with it.
Amused me none-the-less considering its overall "fuck-all useless" status throughout the years, with its power basically a basic attack with no mods. I mean, compared to other WS, still useless, compared to its old self? I giggled. In fact its my goal to try and get good enough gear to break 10k on a Warp Sting or Viper bite... Possibly impossible mathematically but imma try.
The change he has is way more than can be accounted for by just weather even if it was double weather.
It was in Ra', so I assume it was Dark weather. I don't know exactly what TP it was at, but I do know it wasn't Darksday and the TP was >2500 and <3000. I also improved my WS set in the ~month between those SSs. Looking at my logs, I get about 40% more damage now than I did before.
Last night I dropped a few 6.5k Vidos on Wopket, 7.5k on the Mandy, like 4-5k on the Morta, etc. That zone actually kind of sucks for magic damage, though, because the monsters that take enhanced magic damage only take it when their gimping mechanism isn't used. So I nuked for like 11k on the mandy when he had Regen on, consistent normal nuke damage on the panopt when he was unblinded, etc. Dispel Regen and magic damage goes back to normal on the mandy. Blind the panopt and it caps -% magic damage taken (~about 1/10 of what it normally is even during MBs). Also, all the monsters have AoE TP moves and some of them have hate reset mechanisms (Dream Flower, Charm), so I pretty much have to stand on them (but I don't want to) or risk moving the monster and wasting Fudos. We went with 2x SAM, BLM, WHM, COR, BRD and the parse was something like 35% SAMa, 35% SAMb, and 30% me, but I wasted a few Fudos for each of them and was padding my parse by taking care of adds with -ja spells. If we had used one SAM and he had constantly made skillchains (so I could constantly MB) then it would have probably been different.
Were you meleeing for TP, or using the tp from nukes? The Claqueous website isn't up to date, but I didn't think there was a lot of accuracy gear for mages.
I was just using the TP from nukes. It probably wouldn't hurt me too much to just sit there and whiff / Vidohunir, but I was trying to play the more traditional out-of-range mage and avoid complicating songs.
it would be curious to see how you would fair if your melees would constantly do light skillchains. with the current gear out BLM can reach +53% magic burst bonus (40 from gear and 13 from trait) without sacrificing alot of MAB, your tier 3 nukes would prolly MB for 6-7k dmg (even more) and if timed you could double MB with t3 nukes (assuming given enough short recast and fastcast).
I can already double-MB with Tier 5s as long as the SAMs don't WS again too quickly, so I'm sure Tier 3s would be easy. Elemental Celerity is quite potent. The problem is that it's hard to predict when the SAMs will skillchain if they aren't holding TP. Sometimes you see them both get TP at the same time, but if they go too quickly one after each other then they don't skillchain. If I had one SAM doing this:
...then it'd be no problem. Gravitation -> Fragmentation -> Light -> Light, so I could MB all of the last three with wind or thunder (probably over a period of about 20-30 seconds).
If I ever get into a situation like that, I'll actually make a MB damage set. =p
I am not sure, but i think with an MB set and your melees holding back TP slightly for proper SCs would result in more dmg with your blm MBing everything out of the ass. your Tier V nukes would do 10k~ dmg with MBs. and if you can do 2 of them .... prolly more if the cor or a geo would buff you + getting weather etc. etc. highest i have seen was 12k fire V MB with a stratagem and cor buffs + storm buff + aftermath 2 (299TP) on sch, but that was on kamihr delve, which favours magic dmg far more.
however those are few and far between, its allready problematic getting 2 melees to SC together, let alone 3 when a meleeCor or other melee is in the mix, then its just a /sigh fiesta for me.
In all honesty i think if you want to limit TP spam from mobs and maximize dmg 1-2 SAMs max, with the backline consisting of WHM SCHorBLM GEO BRD, obviously heavy equipment depending.
Even if I wasn't there, I'm entirely sure that spending a minor amount of effort to coordinate Light skillchain spam (at least) would result in a net increase in damage. I'm guessing that they just didn't feel like doing it because it's lolcontent and doesn't require the extra damage. Laziness~!
