I'm not a big fan of how extreme they've upped the exp and drop rates. Finished the ascension quest and went from lvl 9 to 16 from just that lol I mean it'll be fun to mess around with but I don't see myself sticking to this for awhile.

I'm looking at it more as a means to test potential. If I find something that works, then I'm gonna attempt to replicate it with my main. Sure, lack of mob AI kinda removes some of the real game applications of it, but if people were just wanting a free version, I imagine a standard setting will pop up eventually.

Has a more normal server and a faster xp server not all working but seems to have quite a bit of stuff finished. also has decent forum participation.

Got to 35 and decided to tinkering with weaponsmithing since I was sitting on 8m. Got it to 399, did the work order quest, then found to expert all you have to do is pay 1.5m. Not complaining.

Lack of AH is gonna make design collecting tricky, though. Experting didn't give a design like usual, but I did pretty much grind 31-35 on balaur in upper abyss so I'd have basic mats for this purpose. Oh, and no hat or bonus storage mini-quest.

Private server is fun, just trioed chaos dracus and got my chaos warhammer when I'm still only 33 lol. Curious thing tho is that I can't go to character selection anymore on the official servers, it just does the TOS, I click accept and it stays with the background. Anybody got an idea how to fix this?

You didn't just blindly overwrite your main Aion with their modified files, did you?

You'll need to do a repair from the NCsoft launcher, unless you saved a copy of your old bin32 folder before overwriting it.

I'm actually going to check this out. The other private server is kinda fun (in a PSO w/hacks kinda way), but afaik IA is up to the most current version and seems to have a lot more implemented: instance support for example (some exceptions, but from what I've read its pretty much working). Plus the whole "Donate to server get shit" kinda f2p cash shop really bugs me, and whats the point of paying for that gear if there's nothing to use it on >.>


If anyone's up for rolling on IA instead, let me know and I'll roll a cleric to leech ex...I mean level with you all >.>;;

1-10 = 2x
11-20 = 5x
21-30 = 10x
31-40 = 15x

There's a lot more people playing, but there are some pretty big bugs, but they're scripting the game themselves so it'll get there eventually.
