that was my immediate reaction. I can't believe some of this shit on there, but Zappa is a huge wtf. I've met very few people that listened to Zappa.

Kinda curious, how many visitors do you guys generally get? I pretty much put this whole okc thing on hold over the summer, but now that I'm back in Tampa I've been giving it more effort and its working out ok so far. Maybe its just random but the last like 3 days I went from 11ish visits per week to...15 in one day, 11, etc., my average is now twice what it used to be...wtf happened? Only thing I changed was put up a shameless shirtless pic where there was none before, would kinda blow my mind if that was it.

Also, just what I've learned....have an interesting/funny photo gets you messages. At leas 10 chicks have messaged me about my Eiffel Tower picture, its a fantastic conversation starter/attention grabber (http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._6950175_n.jpg).

Um, I think it has to do w/ your activity on there, if you were inactive over the summer, it would show up when they searched you/you wouldnt pop up on the mainpage as much for new photos/updates, etc. Also, are you just factoring in new visitors or girls who you messaged scoping you out before they reply? But yeah, now that I don't have the time to update my profile as often b/c of RL stuff and post less photos, my visitors have dropped pretty much in the same ratio, albeit with smaller #s lol. (Maybe ~5 visitors a week now, down from at least that many a day over the summer/spring when I was more active.

I guess the moral of the story to me is that you can find good people in literally any place on the internet, but I would assume that there are more scumbags on one site than there may be on another.

I'm nearly moving again so I have not actually signed up to anything yet (I wish to be settled), but from the sounds of it, OKcupid is like Monster.co.uk(.com), where if you don't keep your CV updated, then your profile moves deeper into the pile. I found that if I updated my CV after 2-3 weeks of inactivity, then I get a flurry of calls from agencies/companies.

It's not so much updating your profile as just logging in. There's a search function of "Online now/today/last week/last month/etc." and I generally only do now/today/last week when I searched for it. And depending on how much distance I covered may only have done a now/today search.

Anyway, I've technically been "online dating" since forever, as my first ever girlfriend, although I went to the same school as her, we never spoke nor had classes together, we chatted online and started dating online. My ex-fiancee was online for a while before we did anything irl, like almost a year before we started going out, last girl I dated I met through WoW/BG and my current girlfriend I met through Okcupid. It works and is especially good for your typical gamer/nerdy/geeky/shy person. I get nervous about all sorts of things meeting in person, even though I'm average looking at worst, and I can just be myself online, which really helps my confidence for when things get more serious. I like Okcupid, even if it's hard as hell to get responses from girls sometimes, because the question/match% thing really works. My girl and I are a 96% match and that means a lot since I have stupid high morals/values/blahblah so I need someone as close to that as possible.

I don't have many tips to give as I'm not a pro at online dating, despite me mentioning getting nervous in person I'm a lot better in person than online, haha.

I did a little experimenting and ab pic being one of the pics that shows up when someone goes over your name or whatever (you know how it shows the first three pics) has a direct correlation to my view count with a pretty significant difference. I guess that means chicks like my body? lol, i find this highly amusing.

Also, I got totally duped tonight. This chick's pics were like a god damn lie, I have no idea how its the same person. I'm always skeptical with pictures but she had like 6 different pics so I figured I had an accurate gauge of what she looked like. I didnt even recognize her, I texted if she was there and someone walks up to me and says hey and I'm like "wtf." She was pale and overweight when nothing indicated that, its like she gained 50 lbs after taking all of those pics. So disappointed. She is also the first chick I've ever gone out with that was noticeably intimidated and nervous around me, it was such a turn off and a really weird feeling. Now I understand why bitches love confidence.

I think im done with this site. Contacted about 30 girls over several months, wrote with about 10 of them, had nice convos with about 5 of them, and asked if they wanted to meet up and do something (obviously not at the same time, I wasnt talking to two girls at once), always came up with excuses not to meet, and wouldnt want to talk via phone, always just wanted to text. The second they say their too busy to talk, and come up with an excuse not to go out I know right then their not interested, but I stick it out and see if another week or two changes, but nah, and of course none of them makes the initiative, so when I stop trying to call/txt, I dont hear back from them as expected.

I guess it doesnt help that I go after girls that I find attractive, because all my profile views and messages are from young fatties, or older women with kids. I guess Im really just too nice, I try to be less nice, but it's just not in me to do so. I accommodate, im patient, helpful, polite, etc, and ive found out that those are all horrible traits to have. The younger girls who still want to have fun in life dont want that stuff, but the girls who have kids and want security want that kind of thing I guess. I make the perfect friend for married/engaged women so im told, as I have about 8 of them, but make for a horrid love interest it seems.
