Not a fan of dating sites. The problem with trying to meet women online is that they are always fat/ugly/dumb/guys or some combination of most of those.

Anyway, the site you use has less to do with success than the person posting, obv. if you are both like-minded and can weed out the twits looking to just hookup and the obvious lies, pics that are way the hell off from reality, and BS, well at least you'll get a few more first dates out of it than you might from your normal pool to select from bar/school/friends etc.

Recommend the first meet&greet be something non-committal, non-expensive, where you can both opt out easily without having wasted too many hours of your life. Meet for a drink or a coffee or a lunch. You can always make a 2nd date if it works, or bail after 45 mins if it doesn't.

Be as specific as you want in what you're looking for, and who you are.

I used a cupid site in another country because I got tired of fooling around with baggage-laden British tarts and it was kinda hard to meet locals who spoke English well. Worked out great; was in a good 6 month or so relationship that had a chance to continue were it not for logistics. Great girl, pretty attractive, some similar interests (namely travel, which was fun- we traveled a bit domestically, went to China too), and great sex.

Totally agreeing with Miz here: you can meet plenty of fuckups in bars. Online lets you filter them more quickly, and as people are widely attesting to here, it is possible to meet quality people through dating sites.
