    Anyone else just get this email from SE?

This may have resulted in the disclosure of a limited number of PlayOnline IDs, passwords and user account data. Please be assured that your credit card data has not been compromised. We are taking this matter very seriously and are conducting a full investigation.

    As a precaution we are notifying you of this potential breach and we are resetting your PlayOnline password.

    Please contact our Support Center by web chat and obtain a new password that differs from your prior password. Please keep this new password safe and always be on the alert for any “phishing” emails that ask you to disclose personal or financial information.

    SE email Real or Fake(?)

    Idk if this email is real so i'm not clicking on the links thow i'm not gonna say it fakes either anyone else receive or know someone who gotten an email like this i've never heard of someone getting this email be4 so i'm just asking, i put in orange reason why I think its fake

    I got one as well, from NA support. Clicking the link (not on my computer or one with ffxi even installed) does take you to squenix support, the store link works and if you click the square enix logo it takes you here: http://www.square-enix.com/na/

    So now I'm kinda of weirded out. I won't be able to see if my password was actually reset til I get home. D:

    Looks like we made the same thread at the same time. I got the same thing, except my email address was na_ol. Can you still log in though? I sure can't.

    That's what I thought as well. I'm still kind of skeptical to put info in though. :\

    It's also translated to two different languages. I can't imagine someone trying to scam would go through those lengths to make it look legitimate.

    Normally scams are something like "Hello, you have big money in Nigeria estate, please to send money us $500 for make prize worth many millions!"

    My friend's password was just reset, they locked his account and are giving it back to him in 12 hours or so they say.

    Well Only reason i'm skeptical is because, simply my GF didn't get an Email, I can Log in And have been online or day, if there was a breach in secruity i would assume there woulda been a post on there front page aswell,

    Few people in my shell got email, few didn't. I personally didn't on either of my characters, for whatever that's worth.

    Is this thread for real?

    You get a message saying your password has been reset by SE. You try to log in, and lo, your password has been reset.

    Do you A) call SE or B) ask BG.

    BG is often more productive than SE.

    Besides SE EU support is closed atm.

    PS: That's the E3 surprise, called it.
