FFXI Config not opening on Windows 7

Hello there, I finally got rid of my Vista and installed Windows 7 32-Bit on my laptop, only prolbem i got is that ffxi config won't open for me anymore. Windower is working but I can't change the resolution so Im stuck at gameboy graphics, is there any other way to do this or has anyone experience with this problem and knows a fix?

You can change it manually in the registry,but can't you change the settings through the windower?

well, I cannot change it since ffxi config won't open at all, and as far as I know, you have to change the resolution in the config, then in the windower launcher dat for it to display properly... I don't know how to change it in the registry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PlayOnlineEU\SquareEni x\FinalFantasyXI

there you change entries 0001-0004 - make sure to not write it down in Hexadecimal ^^

There are only entries named 0001 and 0002 and 0021...

then thats the problem xD

check if you have a PlayOnlineUS folder instead of the EU one,otherwise get a working registry from some1 else and it should be fine
