I emailed amazon to complain about the .edu email thing being the only way to get this promotion, they basically said right now there is no other way to validate you are a current student so if your school doesn't use .edu emails you are fucked.

I did sign up for this, though. Sounds pretty good to take advantage of it (thinking of all the money I spent in shipping from Amazon already).
Thanks a lot for this, signed up :3 It's going to be awesomely useful.
great... hawaii gets dicked
That's pretty sweet.
New offer up! Amazon Prime for 3-months for Parents, Caregivers or anyone with a flimsy moral compass: http://www.amazon.com/mom/ - Wasn't sure if this warranted a new thread, but if there's interest an update to the thread title might be necessary to grab views from non-students.
Includes:
* Free 2-day shipping on qualifying items
* 30% off Select Diapers & Wipes which qualify for subscribe & save (15% discount + 15% S&S discount)
* An additional month of Amazon Prime for each $25 you spend on a single order (up to 1 year total of free prime)
* Exclusive e-mail discounts and offersIn short, no hard evidence needed. The nice thing about this is, though you cannot combine this AND the 1-year offer for students, as noted above you can push this to more months anytime you spend $25 on a single order which makes it pretty competitive if you're shopping frequently. "For each $25 you spend within a single order in the Baby store, we’ll grant you an additional month of Amazon Prime shipping benefits. You can earn up to one year of Amazon Prime shipping benefits from the date you joined Amazon Mom."FAQs:
Who is this program for, and do I qualify?
• Amazon Mom is a free membership program aimed at helping parents and caregivers, from the prenatal days through the toddler years, use Amazon to find all the products their family needs. To join, simply sign into your Amazon account and tell us whether you are a Mom, Dad, or other caregiver of a child. By providing some optional information about your family, you can help us personalize offers, e-mails, and product recommendations to help you find exactly what you need at just the right time. Read the full FAQ.
I am a Dad (or Grandma, or Aunt) - am I eligible?
• Yes. Despite the name, Amazon Mom is open to anyone who is responsible for caring for a baby or young child--“Amazon Primary Caregiver” just didn’t have the same ring to it. Kidding aside, we chose this name because we noticed moms in social communities (like our Amazon discussion boards) looking to connect and share information about products and problems with other moms. We wanted a name that would let these groups know that this program was created with their unique needs in mind. Read the full FAQ.
