    As far as I can tell:
    -STR doesn't affect anything;
    -INT increases nukes' potency;
    -PIE increases nukes and debuff's magic accuracy;
    -MND increases Cure and Stoneskin potency and increases max MP;
    -DEX increases weapon skills' (such as Radiance) accuracy;
    -VIT increases max HP and defense.

    I think INT also increases Spirit Darts damage.
    Tranquillity (the instant MP recovery ability) might be affected by INT and/or MND but didn't bother to test with its long recast. Maybe it's only affected by the Rank.

    As far as I can tell Elemental Resistance stats don't affect the damage you deal, just damage taken.

    Also, I was pretty certain it had been tested to affect elemental damage dealt during the betas, but to such a small degree that you really had to pump up one affinity to get any use out of it.

    I think Tranquility and Exaltation are MND or Max MP based. The more MP I had the more I recovered.

    VIT is pretty important, as it's really hard for mages to stay out of AoE range all the time because of the crappy range of abilities. DEX is only important if you need MP from WS, as the damage is good but the accuracy of the WS is hardly reliable. Once I stopped needing it for MP, I stopped getting DEX.

    I'm pumping into Vit first, since it affects all jobs and having a higher life pool = good. After that, mnd for cure-spamming, and then int/pie equally.

    So, I have been spam killing for 3 hours now, and my brother gets on and within a hour has already passed me in level. Is something broken with conjuror exp. The last 20 or so toads have given me a total of 14 exp.

    I'm not sure how different it is from beta since I haven't played Conjurer before but Cure hate is very manageable now. I was killing stuff with my PUG friend who's the same level / rank as me and with just moderate curing ( once every 10-15s ) mobs never turn to me. Only if I actively try to kill the mob along with curing does the mob even glance at me, and usually only for 1-2 hits max.

    I have a small theory PIE affects Spirit Dart Accuracy. I missed so much, then after pumping some PIE I hit a good bunch more. Might be superstition at this point tho. Conj is still nice as hell :D Record on soloing a dark Orange Lone Wolf for 840 EXP. As long as you can outcure it, shit basically kills itself on yuor shockspikes.

    Grinding mobs way above your rank isnt an option also, at least for soloing; basicly your main source for soloing for skill ups are spirit darts. You miss alot and also if you hit not for alot of damage, and that results in low skill ups. I can solo deep red fireflys without a prob at level 10, dont run out of mp, but skills are not worth to mention.

    Best mobs, at least for solo, seem green for me.

    But than again, the complete skill up system as a whole seems still be very unbalanced to me and a way to much random.

    How are you getting class XP through that route, though? You don't get class XP through self-buffing or healing unless it hits someone else, and you don't get class XP through the enemy hitting shock spikes.

    In a solo fight that involves nothing but cure-bombing and whittling a mob down with shock spikes, where are the actions that would gain skills?

    Edit: For anyone having problems, I would recommend duoing reasonably tough mobs with a buddy that can dish out the pain and can take hits, like a physical DoW class. You can spam cures at a reasonable clip for skillups, and can hit a few spirit darts on the side, with the occasional nuke.

    For soloing, I've found that simply raising the affinity of 2 spells and chaining them again and again gives me the best skillups, especially now that spirit dart can miss, which draws out my fights much longer. Jack up your piety and 2 affinities (I chose fire and wind), and just chain them over and over. Typically it gets me 90-300 a fight, depending on blind luck, but more importantly, it keeps me alive since self-curing and shock spikes aren't getting me anything but wasted time.

    Do it somewhere around a crystal and alternate between tranquility and recharging at the crystal.

    This is pretty much what I'm doing on THM as well. Since Dart's are now unreliable, I find myself prioritizing PIE so my nukes hit. They give decent skill ups as well, over 100 usually.

    my wife and I are both conjurers and we have had the easiest time duoing just spamming spirit darts and only keeping the two SS up (StoneSkin and ShockSpikes)
    Our spirit darts are near 100% but we took every stat up to 20 before focusing on Int/Mind (started heaping dex in there post 10 to help radiance, not sure if it helped but it feels more reliable).

    That's an excellent strategy, and it makes me wish that more of my friends were on so I could duo with them. Conj gets crazy good skillups once you can rely on your cures hitting other people and procing skillups. I'm hungrily awaiting when my crew can start fighting crabs (once I get shell), because the fights are long enough that getting 600-900 points a kill wasn't far-fetched.

    My big 3 stats right now are Vit >> Mnd >> Pie, with any additional stats going in int. I'll be buffing Pie more than Mnd soon, though, because resists are something I hate, and I'm traditionally very good at managing my MP.

    I noticed a lot of crits on spirit dart after buffing Piety. I forgot to put more points back into VIT, so it was pretty exciting seeing who would die first x)

    Did you finish the first part of the main quest? It awards secondary starter abilities for each class.

    Fooma is right, go talk to the person who gave you the quest at the adventures guild. they will reward you with the ability (and it costs 0 points!)
