Is there really any reason to use Haymaker after you get Jarring Strike? They both do pretty much the same damage for me.

Do subbed weapon skills usually do more damage than Concussive Blow? My pugilist is 13 and my gladiator is 16. When I sub something like Howling Vortex it does considerably more damage than Concussive Blow. On weaker mobs it's something similar to 175 for Concussive and 225 for Howling Vortex. That scales down accordingly when fighting stronger mobs, but Howling Vortex always comes out on top. I was thinking that it may be weaker because of the debuff, but Howling Vortex also has one.
Is it the same when subbing weapon skills from other classes such as Trunksplitter?
I don't have Jarring Strike yet, but at least in the last two beta phases there didn't seem to be any reason not to use it over Haymaker. Like you said, the damage is about the same and you get the stun.
off the top of my head, Trunksplitter does about the same except on plants where it's vastly better, and Skewer does more on a single target and upwards of twice as much per target if you hit more than one target with it.
basically I only use Concussive Blow for the accuracy debuff, or when I miss my first choice weaponskill with bloodbath active
Anyone figure what stat possibly boosts 2nd wind ?
rank
if a stat affects it it's either a minuscule boost or one of my dump stats (PIE, MND, or INT)
Well if anyone gets a chance, write down the amount healed naked with second wind, then when you level BEFORE YOU USE YOUR STATS, use it again and record it, then apply said stats then use it again.
Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.
Rank 16 PGL/Level 20
51STR/49VIT/44DEX: 243 HP
51STR/50VIT/44DEX: 243 HP
51STR/50VIT/45DEX: 243 HP
52STR/50VIT/45DEX: 243 HP
And then in the interest of thoroughness I raised all my elemental stats by 1 as well: 243 HP
So to reiterate, it's either not tied to stats, tied to stats at an inconsequentially low ratio of less than 1HP/stat point, or tied to a mage stat. My guess is, it's not tied to any stat.
It could be tied to total HP since the VIT multiplier increases each rank. Maybe? Though, I think Second Wind's effect may go up more than just the very few HP you naturally get each rank.
I added VIT. My HP total increased. Second Wind did not.
Herp derp... my bad.
So, it's obvious (to me) that it's based on Rank only, then. How much have you noticed it going up by each rank? I felt like it was a solid +5 each rank.
That seems about right. I could swear I remember it giving 192 when I first got it, so that would suggest +5.1HP per rank. Of course, I could be mistaken.
You mean rank 21? On PGL?
That sounds about right-ish to me, though I want to say I was getting 208 Second Winds at somewhere around 13~14.
Second Wind is recovering 270HP for me at rank 21, level 26, which would work if it gained 5.2HP per level.
So which is right?
And if it at all matters, I changed my stats around and it doesn't increase or decrease the amount of HP gained.
Regardless, it doesn't really matter. I'm pretty sure we can safetly say it is rank with a base of some number with 5.1~5.2 additional HP gained per level.
Next up I guess is now trying to figure out how much it heals when used cross class? (I'm assuming it'll be a fixed 50% or 75% like Bloodbath is when used cross class)
his sounds more right since I was giving a rough estimate at the time, but it still soorta sucks ;/
the +10% healing buff would barely be noticeable on it ;/
Guess it doesn't matter too much considering stuff hardly even hurts
You ppl hought about a VIT modifier like in 11?
why do I bother
