Cross-posted from the Guild Quest thread:
-------------------------------------------------------
It seems class quests can be started at Rank 20~22 (I only just checked before going to grind to Rank 23)
The npc at the Archer's guild gave me a new quest - in my case "Filling the Quiver" and an NPC linkpearl.
I am currently in the process of doing the quest and I will post what kind of reward I get and if it starts a quest chain.
I am glad it is only in the 20s, and not like AF where we have to wait until much further along.

Update #1: Note to self, check the quest map instead of just going by the description. <_<;
Spoiler: show
Update #2: Side note - there are a lot of things to improve upon in 14, but god the CSs look amazing lol.
Spoiler: show
Update #3: Finished quest, I see no follow-up atm. Perhaps I need to be a higher level or wait for the next day FFXI/JP Midnight style.

I know Leatherworking is good for archer armor, but does anyone know what armor is good to start with? There is sooo much to choose from, not sure where to start.
Can anyone who's gotten Multishot tell me if it's worth it or not? The description confused me a bit.
Yes, it is strong as hell. You can queue up to 3 arrows then shoot them all at once. Buffs like Hawk Eye and Raging stack with all the arrows in the shot it seems like. Well worth it, wtb a second tier of it lol.
Thank you both. Makes sense now.
How do the elements come into play when leveling archer?
i.e fire, ice, wind.
I liked how I just killed 5 mobs and went through a stack of arrows..
I think the fact that we can't currently make/obtain lvl 8+ bows is a HUGE issue. The accuracy boost from upgraded weapons is big, and I think the accuracy needed goes up as you level (obvious but I figured I'd mention it lol), and without upgraded weapons it's difficult to reach that needed accuracy.
It's crap that all our bows need lvl 20+ components, aside from the lvl 6 & 8 ones :-\
Just to get from about 15~16, with some extra exp from 14~15, i went through somewhere between 25~30 stacks of arrows, i lost count. Is that normal? Not that money is a big issue right now, but that's still 30k worth of ammo just in bronze arrows, and its only gonna get worse i would imagine with the higher level ammo. Seriously every arrow i fire that doesn't get a skillup, i get angry inside a little bit.
Anyone come to any conclusions on stat distribution?
I tried STR/DEX evenly, STR/VIT/DEX evenly, almost all STR with some DEX, and almost all DEX with some STR.
I didn't notice any solid advantage (damage, crit, or accuracy) with any of these setups, although having the STR/VIT/DEX distribution was nicer for solo due to the increased HP. I guess I just stick with that for now.
Any of you have any ideas or preferences?
I went DEX>STR=VIT, Dex seems to be the big one, then str. Vit Is, however, awesome. Guaranteed you will pull hate alot with your DPS and abilities
4667 Archer's Guild marks from a 4x boosted lvl 30 leave ;x + 12 faction credits. Pretty insane.
I absolutely love archer, but I now give up for the time being. Until my physical is higher I'll go back. But in one day I got my lancer caught up to what my archer is. And I've been leveling archer since launch. Damn thing is so powerful, that I kill my leve mobs with one or two hits, thus not getting skill. And if i turn the difficulty up to high I fail.
