FFXIV Random Speculation/Question thread V: No one told me beta would have problems in it

Punishing barbs could very well be one of those abilities that nearly every job should use at some point. Until it's nerfed. I'm looking at tanking builds and while it's still way to early to start charting out a path, Conjurer (cure)---> Thurm (PB)--->Mar (Bloodbath, Defender)--->Pug---->(Second Wind)---->start Glad seems to make the most sense. At least to level 10.

If you can get multiple spikes on at once, shock spikes would be nice to go along with that, 100% proc stun!

That could be because the title screen is now running at 120FPS. (!)

Logic is there. Less people results in open camps for grinding and more gathering points(at least the points won't be bouncing around as much). They might have fixed class skill gain to be quicker now in parties, but I'm betting solo will still be the best way to go until 15ish. Since they'll wipe these toons, errrr chars (ohes noes said toon again, shoot me FFS!) again I'd rather just see if mage classes are the same and how archer works, do some crafting, then wait for release. This is purely going off the fact that I expect this phase to be the same area we've had access to in the last phase, with no real content, and a bunch of class/mechanic fixes that should make the game smoother. Maybe when ever they get around to posting up the patch notes it'll change my train of thought, but I'm just here to get a taste for the game in regards to what class/craft I enjoy and submit any feedback I feel the need to along the way.

Saying in advance: so sorry for being lazy and not backtracking for the following question but please feel free to PM the answer if you want..

All of the people downloading the beta stuff via client.. when the actual game comes out for the CE will all this stuff you guys are downloading be on the disk? I'd assume yes, it would be.. minus any patches of course after release.

Again, sorry if this has been asked.. it's just a "random question" I had pop in my head. May not even be answerable as no one can see the future.. but I figure it may follow the standard Beta > Release as other games do (which I wouldn't know as I've never played a beta before).

I'm in the same boat.... There is no large scale combat in beta so not like I'm gonna miss out on anything by being on a diff server w/3 friends

I really doubt it's going to be a problem unless they invite a ton more people before tomorrow. They have the server load issues down, I doubt 30 people from BG going to one server is going to throw things off.

Emperor won't become some mad house just because people are heading there. It won't be as bad as Kefka was during the beginning of Phase 2, at any rate. I'm just glad people I know are heading here so we can actually test out the Linkshell settings so I have more things to complain about if they don't work properly!

only need a few ppl to test out LS settings ;p
and as long as you can break ppl's pearls w/o them being in the shell... it will be perfect
