Chhir Batti - Thundaga III on light day
Chhir Batti - Thundaga III on light day
Death Ray is able to proc yellow !! as well~
Cirein-Croin Thundaga 3 on Lightsday pop. Unsuccessful proccing on the next 2 pops on Darksday, no Blue Mage or Nin however...
So the general consensus is that the current and previous days elements are what can proc !!, but what the element aligned with about the day after?
Whiro - Darks day - Bio 2
It then deaggrod while i was kiting it around the rock by the conflux, and then Thunder 3 began to stagger it instead of Bio 2.
Red !!s work with the day of the week theory. We proced a dozen or so Red !!s last night and all of them fit in the day before, day of. None of them were day after, but 12ish isn't a huge sample.
I triggered !! on brooder with drain1 2 different times. Once on lightsday, once on firesday.
Based on what though? Their elemental property? Their SC properties?
Elemental property, from a post on this page alone, hurts your theory:
Iceday is nowhere near the darkness element of shadow of death, nor is lightsday near the ice element of freezebite. I'd recommend someone (else, because I allready did it for green) go through the thread and find all the WS/day posts pertaining to red, and post them all in one page. A larger sample will help locate a pattern and weed out any human error posts.
9/27 - 21:49:46 - Blizz 3 - Eve - (Windsday) - (Popped on Windsday)
9/27 - 22:49:07 - Thunder 3 - Vileberry - (Iceday) - (Popped Iceday)
9/28 - 23:48:49 - Cep-Kaumy - Dispel - (Lightsday) - (Popped Lightsday)
10/4 - 20:47:08 - Ironclad Severer - Water IV - (Earthday) - (Claimed Earthday)
I don't know what those have in common. I went through my logs to check on pop/claim day just to be sure. Unless I missed up the RL Time->Vana Time, they seem to indicate at least a small chance to proc !! on day after~
Flame Skimmer - firesday - red lotus blade - red !! proc
Funeral apkallu - earthsday - shadowstitch - blue !! proc
Minax Bugard - earthsday - shadowstitch - blue !! proc
And those were pop/claim days, and kills. Ask fast and i may remember other details
The only thing potentially that seems plausible is the day could have a bonus to create a correlating weakness to the element. The problem is even with all the examples in this thread it's a drop in the bucket. We just don't nearly enough data to figure out whether there are patterns to weaknesses. Certain NMs may also have different mechanics too so how are we to account for undetermined factors like that?
Cirein-croin - popped Earthsday - Seraph strike red !! still on Earthsday
koki Red !! on itzopropyl or whatever, quest boss of attowa. Current day is lightnings but its 3:00 now so might have popped last day.
Itzpapapotl
interesting fact: Fanatics drink is completely worthless on this Nm, i popped one and 2 houred, and its attacks went straight through.
If you mean fanatic's tonic, I think that useless sucker just gives you +defense or something >_> Doesn't give invin like powder does.
ooh.. I dont exactly remember what its name was now. I had the other person use a fools drink or whatever at 5% but it died too fast to hit him
Nonno - Popped Darksday - Aspir (cast from Dark Spirit) - Grellow !!
AND NOW , start brainstorming for blue !!! triggers
Blue is hard for a lot of reasons. Here is a list of all the reported Blue !!s from this thread (I've noted the ones that were reported >2 times:
Heavy Shot x2
Evisceration
Tachi: Yukikaze
Sidewinder x2
Guillotine
Evisceration
Skullbreaker
Howling Fist
Blade: Ku
Arching Arrow x2
Savage Blade
Vorpal Blade x2
Dragon Kick
Mistral Axe
Decimation
Spinning Attack
Shadowstitch x2
Howling Fist
Tachi: Kasha
Vorpal Thrust
Cross Reaper
.... Lucky Lulush's Foot kick?
Solid, definite:
Tachi: Gekko
Asuran Fists
Dancing Edge
Spinning Slash
Shark Bite
Superficially, I'd recommend people at least use their WSNM WS. Remember that you have to time it for when the monster isn't readying/using a TP move or casting. I've been spending the last few days on WAR triggering Red !!s, so I realize exactly how hard that is. If you're trying to push it out and don't care exactly which WS did it, Stun -> WS may be a good way to go.
