Plausible, thought he would go to Miami though.

We drafted him with a 7th. It was either get something for him or he was going to get cut and get signed by Miami/Redskins/SD for free.

Still kind of dumb to get rid of him, he was the only proven WR on the team. But if he was going to cause drama then I guess it's was for the best. Plus I still haven't forgiven that bastard for dropping the game winning pass/giving up on the last route in the 07 playoffs.

Minnesota at New Orleans - The celebration for the Saints ends during the season opener. Glaring weaknesses on a defense that relied heavily on turn overs get exposed as Favre consistently finds his new targets and AP breaks off 100+yrds without a fumble. Despite a near perfect game by Brees, Vikings win by a field goal.

Miami at Buffalo - Miami grinds Buffalo's hopes to dust with their brutal ground game. Henne is efficient, finding Bmarsh on several key third downs. The Bills come away feeling positive about their offensive production against a struggling Miami defense, but they simply could not stop the Fins from finding the end zone and eating up the clock. Miami by 10.

Detroit at Chicago - "Who are these guys, and where were they last year?" Cutler and Forte look brilliant as they carve up Detroit's defense. Suh is productive, but nullifies that production with penalties as he struggles to control his emotions. He should be taking notes as he watches Peppers record 3 sacks. Stafford/Megatron have an exceptional game as well, but they're simply outmatched by a Chicago defense that holds the Lions' ground game to 60 total yards allowing the Bears' pass rush to flourish. Chicago by 6.

Oakland at Tennessee - Raiders fans still have a lot to be happy about as Campbell is accurate and productive. VY struggles, throwing 2 picks, but the slack is taken up by CJ who breaks out with a monstrous game to start the season. Titans by 7.

Cincinnati at New England - The Patriots are back, and they're pissed. They've been overlooked and overshadowed for the first time in years. They make a statement against a very solid Bengals team. Despite Palmer carving up the Pats secondary, Cincy can't find the end zone and have to settle for FGs. Moss goes boss for 120yrds+ and 2 TDs. Welker returns to his old form with 140yards. Brady...does what Brady does. Pats by 17.

Carolina at NY Giants - The Giants are looking for revenge. Carolina absolutely manhandled them last year in their final home game in their old stadium. Unfortunately for the Giants, double trouble prove to be just that, causing NY to stack the box on nearly every play. Cue Steve Smith. Despite the woes of their passing game during the preseason, Moore hooks up with Smitty for over 150 yards. Manning is tossed around like a rag doll by the young and talented Carolina defense that records 5 sacks during their season opener. Peppers who? Carolina by 7.

Atlanta at Pittsburgh - Big Ben is suspended, Leftwich is injured, and Dixon flat out sucks. The Steelers play a rather pedestrian game on both sides of the ball. The return of Harry Douglas, as well as a monstrous game for Turner, proves to be too much for Pittsburgh to handle. Falcons by 10.

Cleveland at Tampa Bay - Game of the weak. Delhomme looks sharp (fucker) in his season opener for the Browns. Tampa's youth still needs more reps to find their rhythm, though they're on the right track. A solid game by both teams. Browns by 3.

Denver at Jacksonville - Talk about off the radar. The Jags have seldom been mentioned during the offseason. It's ok, they prefer it that way. It makes it that much sweeter when they roll on a team that's been stealing the spot light. MJD rapes. Jags by 10.

Indianapolis at Houston - Oh the excitement. This is the game I'm looking forward to most. Potentially one of the most exciting games of the year from an offensive standpoint, Schaub and Manning shock and awe the crowd with stellar performances. Wayne and AJ prove once again why they're elite. I can't help but feel sorry for the defenses. Despite being a high scoring game, it comes down to a last second field goal. Texans by 1.

San Francisco at Seattle - Pete Carroll has the Hawks convinced that they're a fantastic team. I'm not drinking that kool-aid. This is one of the few times during the season that the Niners can claim that they have the better QB. With explosive talent in the backfield, a dominating diva out wide, a not-so-gentle giant with great hands at TE, and a defense that loves to flat out hit people, the Niners are gonna' welcome Carroll back with a big fat L. Niners by 6.

Green Bay at Philadelphia - Here we have a face off between one of the elite talents at QB vs a QB with a lot to prove. It'll make for a good story line leading up to the game, but let's face it; the Packers have a more talented offense, defense, and special teams. Green Bay by 10.

Arizona at St. Louis - Here we have the beginning of the Bradford era in St. Louis, and the beginning of the Anderson era in Arizona. Arizona has been an up and down team the past couple of years, which perfectly defines Anderson as well. Their struggles will continue as the rookie gets his first W in the NFL with a 300+ yard 2TD game.

Dallas at Washington - OMG DA COWBOYS DAY WINNEN DUH SUPURBALL! Cowboys by 7. I feel dirty.

Baltimore at NY Jets - The Jets hype comes to a grinding halt as Flacco/Boldin/Rice are simply too much for them to handle. Jets fans can smile about LT's performance as he puts up 80yrds and gets a TD, but it wasn't enough to counter The Dirty's 3 picks or the defenses pedestrian performance.

San Diego at Kansas City - In Kansas City, it's all about Thomas Jones and Dexter McCluster. In San Diego, it's all about Ryan Mathews and the loss of Vjax. Bolts fans see an impressive debut from the rookie as he breaks 100yrds and scores 2 TDs. Rivers doesn't lose a step without his former #1 WR, opening up the ground for Mathews. Despite flashes of brilliance from Dexter and a solid game by Jones, the passing game continues to struggle and the Chiefs simply cannot keep up with the high scoring Bolts. San Diego by 10.

Miles Austin has done it one year, Stonehands is Stonehands, Ogletree is basically a rookie and Dez IS a rookie. I know they will be fine but he was still the only proven guy.

    Unless you count Witten.

Just because he hasn't been doing it the past few years, doesn't mean that he isn't proven. He's proven more than Crayton.

Yep. Let's see how he fairs against double teams. Good receivers can have a breakout year. Great receivers are the ones who continue to produce the same kind of numbers with defenses game planning for them.

Nobody plans for the Cowboys, they'll just beat themselves and all will be well throughout the land.

Absolutely not. He did jack diddly the first 4 weeks, had a 250yrd game week 6 against KC, then 171 week 7 against ATL, then went back to pedestrian numbers again until week 12 against OAK. You homers are forgetting that his stats were ballooned from a few great games against teams that were struggling. Otherwise it was more WR by committee. Remember Crayton getting 135yrds week 1 and he was Jesus?

Also about Goodell and his hatred of the Bengals. He fines Suh 7500 for almost taking delhommes head off (I like the hit, but it was pretty savage) but Chad gets 25k for twittering during the game.
