    Old AIM

    Apparently AIM won't let me log on anymore cause my version is too old. Fuck them. Is there any way I can log on with my older version? Newer versions are too ugly/have too much unneeded shit and 3rd party aim clients usually look pretty stupid.

    New AIM is a lot better if you use the ad hack. It gets rid of ads (obviously) and you can get rid of some of the extra crap.

    Everything about the new aim is horrible. Why is there a giant TEXT button? Seriously? Also why does it show my buddy icon now in every window. In case I forget? I know what my fucking icon is.

    When AIM got retarded, I switched to pidgin years ago (used to be gaim). Never looked back.

    Cant stand pidgin or trillian. Tried them both and both really annoyed me for various reasons.

    The problem is they don't let you sign on with old versions. I still have it, it just boots you off as soon as you log on.

    I did the same thing once aim 6.0 rolled out. Pidgin has been perfect for me ever since.

    Log into the newer AIM, disable all the newer functions and features of new AIM, then try and log into the older AIM.
