tl;dr Wave of friend invites went out today or something, bunch of topics giving away keys. Woke up too late, entered the ones still open. I won the topic that I linked, but he edited my name out at the last minute, even though I saw it and somebody even quoted his original post. Why? Because some asshole SAID he'd been waiting "about a year" even though he had just joined the goddamn forums today, while I had joined the forums back in august.

Nothing quite like waking up to excitement and then having it ripped away from you within minutes.

Haven't played it in a while. It's an unbalanced version of Team Fortress 2 with pointless PvE (atm, they haven't opened up the Open World shit yet).

And actually I did get a beta key like 2 days ago on one of my other emails.

I've played about 4 hours or so, and to me it plays a lot like Global Agenda. I haven't touched PVP, because as a medic you don't get the gun that heals you while healing teammates until level 5, which I just got before I logged off last. The PvE content atm is pretty bare. There are only currently about 4-5 different quests, most of which are tutorial style quests. Its mostly revolving around using these mobile drilling stations called Thumpers to gather ore and crystal resources, which you use to craft your gear. While you are thumping, waves of mobs appear and try to kill you and/or destroy your thumper. It is pretty hard to solo, unless you exploit mob pathing by putting your thumper up on top of a pillar of rock that they can't get to. Its enjoyable, but the PvE content gets repetitive pretty quickly right now, since all you can really go do is thumping and there are only about 6-8 different mob types. Granted, beta is beta, but its probably something that will be fun to play with some buddies when it's released.
