Who am I kidding? Niggas don't have shame.

If you couldn't afford the tracking code then i seriously doubt you got the package insured. Right now, your package is sitting in a warehouse for customs to look over. The fact that you mentioned how irregular it was wrapped is enough to delay it for several weeks.

Next time, get the tracking or get the insurance(or both if you could afford it). Also, any important documentation(in this case your warranty card) you ever receive about anything(even passports) make a copy of and store it somewhere safe.
They wouldn't even offer me tracking when i specifically asked for it. They said the shipping didn't qualify and the only way to get tracking was with a flat rate box, which was over twice as much as my package when being priced on weight.

And even then, they're trying to tell me that have no record whatsoever for it, as if I've never shipped it to begin with. I called the location I shipped it from in GA and they still have a copy of my custom's papers that I filled out, so I'm going to have my mom go there and pick it up and fax me a copy and go from there

Well it sounds like you found the problem. If they have no record of it being shipped it's because it wasn't and it never left the place where you left it. Just got to call that particular branch and deal with it that way.

USPS is pretty much worse than limp dick. I sent off a package to Virginia from Alabama, and the fucking rerouted it to Panama City. I mean what the shit? Made no sense. So now it's rerouted back to it's original destination.. but after taking an extra 4+ days. Piece of shit. I send this shit ultra priority mode and it gets fucked with.

Semi off-topic. But for anyone that didn't know. UPS Insurance is a scam, so much fine print involved with packaging requirements. If not met 100%, your insurance is completely voided. Lost a lot of big shipments in the past due to this.

Yea they busted my monitor last month when I shipped from CA back to FL. I would have raised some hell, but Hannspree was nice enough to replace it under their warranty, even though UPS fucked it up.

In my experience with USPS your package will eventually get there, it will just take...well like Akiyama pointed out, for-fucking-ever because they keep rerouting it to random places. I don't get it, we have so much technology to keep track of this shit and it still takes a year and a half. I have a book coming to me that I ordered like 3 weeks ago from a seller on amazon, just a tiny little book, being shipped USPS and still haven't gotten the fucking thing, who knows when it will show up. If you use USPS for anything don't expect the turnaround time to be anything less than a month lol.

I had a package shipped via USPS. For some reason it decided to sit in Martinsburg, WV for a day or two when I probably could have driven down there to get it myself. Then when the package comes, it had hot chocolate spilled on it.

I've always had the most trouble with UPS out of UPS/USPS/FedEx; fuckers make me sign for a $5 book in the middle of the afternoon when I'm sleeping or won't deliver it, kill all my fucking superworms with overnight shipping, etc. Think those bastards keep their trucks at like 120F or something.

I've only had a problem with DHL. They left a package I was waiting for in a ditch about 100 feet from my house.

USPS is pretty shitty here. Sometimes they won't even knock on my door, they'll leave the paper in my mailbox and make me walk to the fucking post office. And I know it's not cause they couldn't get in, cause the building door is always unlocked(lolprojects) and I live on the 1st floor. The tracking number they give is kind of bullshit and can be dead wrong on status. I've had it read 'delivered' for 2 days straight, go hound my neighbors to see if they got it while I was out. I call them up, I get the same thing that it was delivered. I wait a week after calling the company I bought the item from, oh look, a fucking card. And the fucking lines at the Post Office, my god. They got 2-3 people trying to service a line of 30+ that perpetually stays at that number. And they don't always have someone working the Passport/Package window, oh no. Most of the time I have to go on the ridiculous line instead of that quick option, to pick up a package that should have been delivered to my house but never is when I'm home. I use UPS and frankly except for the one time my brother tried to get delivered an open package that should have held his Ipod(back when Ipod's were new), I have never had an issue with them. Way my schedule is, if they knock one day and noones home, someone will always be here the following day to receive it. Don't FedEx much unless it's important documents from A to B but no issues with them either. USPS can just go eat a dick.

The only good thing I could ever say about USPS is that thanks to how shitty their flat rate service is, I got a free FF11 PS2 kit way back when. I bought it off ebay, guy sent it on the slowest fucking way ever with no way to track it. After lots of email, after 3 weeks he says he'll send me another that gets here in 3 days. 1 week later, the first package arrives, so I resell it since he felt like being a cheapass and didn't want to pay the few bucks it would have cost him to put it on Priority Mail for tracking info. I could have probably walked from Brooklyn to Pittsburgh and back to Brooklyn in the time it took that package to get here, with breaks and sleep and stopping for food. But hey, he saved me $100 on starting up FF11 so he was good for something.

I've used DHL once, and they refuse to enter the projects with packages, they'll leave the receipt on the door. And this wasn't even a huge package, it was some vitamins my brother ordered and it wasn't even in a box, the foam envelop crap, and they couldn't knock on the door instead of putting a receipt on it. They can diaf also.

the one big advantage USPS has that I can think of is access to your mailbox if you live in an apartment. it's not often you're shipping something small enough to fit in an apartment mailbox, but it's nice that they can put something in there if they have to.

of course that's a pretty minor advantage in the face of all their crap. but still.

Reminds me of when I was working for Canada Post and came across a package that had been completely ripped open somehow, contents spilled completely out. Not being a complete retard, I did the decent thing, collected it all and got it back into the box, which I basically wrapped in tape so it'd stay closed. I got bitched out because apparently it wasn't my job to fix those things, only to make sure the customer picked it up. Apparently, I was supposed to shrug at them, say "oh well, life sucks, get over it" to their complaints, then tell them to go to a nearby store and grab a cart or something so they could get the individual items inside.

This was maybe 3-4 months before I was fired for basically complying entirely with Security and Investigations regarding a passport getting lost in the mail, actually figuring out who was responsible and what happened, and thoroughly documenting the whole ordeal so there'd be a record of who I talked to and what they said and etc etc etc. Or, well, one guy I talked to pretended to care but it wasn't actually his job to do anything.

I've since shaken the naiveté that the post office lets anyone who actually gives a flying fuck work there. Not to mention the drivers in the area made absolutely no attempt to deliver anything to the door and had a startlingly high rate of not even bothering to stick the delivery notice card to their door (final notices were my responsibility and I lost count of how many people never got the original).

I could go on for pages and pages about just how bad Canada Post is but I think people get the idea. Sometimes it's cheaper than the alternatives, but you get what you pay for.

Edit: Oh, aside from the "instead of returning it after the pickup deadline's passed, let's just keep it for myself" that I saw my supervisor do. Twice.

If you are using regular airmail to mail the item, then a month or more is regular. Because the custom in any country is just an ass. My friend has the experience that it took a month just to get a bday card to be sent to his gf hand.

In short, I never use airmail, will be either global priority or EMS whenever I want to mail it internationally.

For my senior year project in high school, I made about 100 macramé bracelets, and I wanted to give one to my (ex)bf. So I mailed him a nice love letter and put the bracelet in there, sealed it up and sent it out. Somewhere along the line (and I found out about this about a year after I sent it), he told me when he got my envelope, the bottom of it was already open and he never got the bracelet or the letter, just the empty envelope.

You just remind me a news on a shitty postman back in Malaysia for many years ago. He got caught by dumping all the mails in his house, which he suppose to deliver all those to the particular neighborhood for like over a year. It likes a lot of important mail never delivered to any household in that neighborhood. I'm believe there is also some news regarding this misbehavior in states or other asia countries too.

Anything to do with shipping out of the states has a bunch of stupid shit attached to it and is usually not worth the headache.

Friend of mine got screwed in a similar situation.

I think they may have got it and say they didn't. As far as proving it, thats where your most likely screwed.

I work at UPS and I can tell you for sure that the trucks are completely at the mercy of whatever is going on outside. If it's cold, the truck is going to be cold; I've seen packages frozen to the sides of a trailer. Also, if it's anything above 65 degrees outside, the truck is going to be rather warm.
