    Streaming or Watching Blu-Ray Files on PS3

    I'm completely new to this;

    I have my network set up to where my media files are accessible by my PS3, 360, PSP, other computers, etc. Streaming normal quality movies, .avis, music, pictures work fine.

    I downloaded a bluray via torrent in .mkv format.

    Is there a special program that will stream these properly, in HD, to my PS3 console?

    Any tips or feedback is appreciated.

    here ya go, it'll stream/convert your files on the fly to your ps3 so you can pretty much use any format.

    there's also tversity for it, but i've had best results with ps3 media server

    Hope you have a decent enough computer to transcode, and a wired connection if you plan on streaming 1080p files.

    I forget the exact name of the group, but there's one that releases BD-rips specifically formatted for ps3.
