I'm almost tempted to buy the Vita Neptune. Maybe I'll find it more tolerable there.

I have them all on the PS3, but I can't bring myself to purchase the remake atm. What are it's selling points? Victory desperately needed help with it's atrocious framerate--but I do want to see more of these, particularly on platforms that won't see them ran like shit.

Re;birth 1 comes with the framerate patch and it's basically Victory's battle system with a couple differences.

Gust and Nisa aren't in the game anymore.

The combat system is identical to the one found in Victory.

The transportation system works the same as in Victory (and mk2).

In-dungeon abilities are identical to Victory - players can jump and the search sphere is back as well.

Re;birth 1 gets treated as yet another dimension, as characters from other worlds make an appearance.

The Scout System has been removed. A Remake System is in its place. It works the same way as Item Synthesis, except the options aren't limited to item creation. It is possible to find and influence new dungeons through this tool (Harvest Shift is back, so are the Tough enemies), or even change the system like making all the enemies stronger/weaker, making the EXE drive fill faster.

Framerate patch? Were there issues with Re;birth in Japan or something?
How does the game actually run on Vita? Rata?

Yeah the original release had issues on vita that they eventually patched.

My copy should be here today but don't know how much I'll be playing it with Xillia 2 as my main focus.

Hot off the heels of the release of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1, Idea Factory International has confirmed it will release the sequel Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Sisters Generation in both physical and digital versions in North America and Europe early next year.

The game is a remake of PlayStation 3′s Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, updated with a new story, revamped battle system, newly voiced characters, and new playable characters.

Japanese PS+ members to get 250 PSP titles for free

In Japan, Sony had a program called UMD Passport where users could get discounted digital versions of PSP games so they could play them on Vita. Starting on September 17 and until the end of the year, the entire UMD Passport catalog will be available as Free Play games for PlayStation Plus members.

This gives Vita owners access to 250 games including Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Final Fantasy Type-0, Ys Seven, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd.

So from what others have said is its not "free". You have to own the umd to download it. In the past you use to have to pay a fee to make a umd game playable, PS+ will now wave that fee.

If this came to the west I'd be OK, think I still have like 20 games somewhere for my PSP.

If it came to the west it'd be useless to me since half the shit I own on UMD never got a digital release here for one reason or another.

Would be shocked honestly if its not in the store; most of the obscure jRPGs I've looked through show up. Sometimes need to look through a browser and not on your Vita though.
