Depending on your ISP, you may not even need a VPN. Also if you're starting or coming back, this is the week to do it since we have boosted exp/drop/grind/affix rates 'til next week.

I refuse to play it unless it comes out in North America. I suppose the optimist in my is still saying "at least they acknowledged its existence again," but to be honest, I'm more interested in Nova at this point than I am in PSO2 itself.
Western IP block is gone for the asia side.

Does that apply to the actually updated JP client as well or only the already-in-English Asian client?
JP PSO2 has been unblocked for quiet some time now, atleast through my ISP.
Pretty sure I haven't been IP blocked in somewhere around a year or so on the JP servers... not sure what the fuss is about?
(Not that I log on more than maybe once every few months lmao)
When jPSO2 got ddos'd last year around July/August they blocked out most western IP addresses, and then in September and October they did it again and blocked out some more, few IPs in certain regions of the US could still connect granted you were on the right provider(TWC, Comcast) to do so. AT&T and Version from what I know of was completely locked out until they took the walls down in March-ish. The only way to get through was either VPN or use Amazons AWS & PuTTY to get through.
I tried to start up a game two days ago, and I'm still seeing that the servers are in maintenence. Anyone else seeing this? I can't imagine they've been down this much.
Edit: nvm, they re-blocked NA. Fuckers.
Hey guys, it's coming...
To PS4

Unfuckingbelievable.
Not even sure why they still have the English website up, since it is clearly never coming out outside Asia.

Sega is finally working towards bring the PC version to the west.
Too little too late, fuck em.
I'm still waiting for it. >.> As long as it is done well and not kept way behind (even though catching up to current stuff would probably take a while...). I could never convince my friends to play the Japanese version since it isn't 100% in English, even with the translation patches.
Fuck sega
I'd still play it though
They're pretty much at the point of "drop dead", especially since the Japanese version may be just under half way through its life cycle if they keep it running for as long as they did PSU which was just over six years. You can pretty much guarantee 99% of the collab stuff won't make it in.
It's just silly that theyd bypass the US market like they did considering their financial woes and how much interest there was for this game once it was announced.
