About repairing gear: SE said you can get another player/do it yourself, or an NPC can do a half-ass job for you. Where is this NPC in Ul'Dah? My Weathered Horas are about halfway to breaking and I have a permanent Weapon Damage status saying the properties of it are reduced Or, how fast can you start repairing items by switching to a blacksmith? Do you have to be a certain rank, or can you start repairing right away?

NPC is a Lalafel right outside of Quicksands on the left going North, easy to tell because of the billions person near it. (Chocobo icon on map if you can't find)

Thanks a bunch! I tried switching to Blacksmith and I bought a bone chip from Bric-a-Brac but it said I can't repair with my current class...? Blacksmith IS the repairing class, right? <_< Or was it armorer? T_T

Edit: Read the tutorial on the repair NPC, now I get it. Any Hand except Culinarian can repair, and it also depends on the item... so a blacksmith repairing a pair of Weathered Hora doesn't seem likely, haha. *slaps myself*

You can tell which class repairs an item by the material needed. In this case, Bone Chip means that a Goldsmith is the class that repairs the Weathered Hora.

You have to switch to a job that doesn't use shield at all and then switch back. If you don't remove the shield nothing can move guard from the spot it sets in.

edit: and the slot you want guard in has to be the first open slot when you equip the shield.

Yes, thats how im doing it now, and thats the issue, it shouldnt be like that.
But I thought it was just my client, seems it's not, hopefully SE will fix that.

Person in my linkshell said they had access at 13 and at 12 i currently dont have access.

I can confirm Rank 13. I had access to level 20 leves at Rank 13, Physical 14 and did not have it at Rank 12, Level 13.

Despite playing Open Beta I've never run into them yet but I've just accepted a guild marks reward leve.

Can someone explain guild marks and more specifically the abilities purchased by them to me or direct me to somewhere that does?

You gain guildmarks by completing a guildleve offering them as reward (You cannot change class), then if you hit up your guild (say, Pugilist's Guild in Ul'dah) one of the NPC offers you to trade Guildmarks for abilities. Some of the abilities offer stats exchange... idk, the NPC in your Guild will list them all

___'s Guild Marks are just a different currency that you can only use to purchase new abilities/traits for said class (assuming you meet the rank-requirement for the ability/traits). The abilities tend to include a lot of "II" and "III" versions of existing ones as well as a few traits. If you're lucky a leve will reward Guild Marks for one of your classes instead of gil.

That's all there is to it really.

Recast it. So click on spell again.

Doesnt work it says you are already casting

This is how it works but I always have to double tap it to get the "You have canceled Spell" message.

Does anyone know the lowest level you should be before attempting a level20 battlecraft leve? I seem to remember someone saying in beta that there was quite a difference between the level 10 leves and the level 20 leves.

If anyone else was wondering we just completed a level20 leve (1Star) as a duo (16PUG/19PYS and 16CON/19PYS) and it was incredibly easy!
