This is a good point for anyone who skipped it too, the soundtrack was pretty badass. I'm not really a fan of the genre as a whole, but the Lilith's Club song is fucking great.

DmC Definitive Edition will now be released a week earlier on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The new release date is March 10th.

Looking at these screenshots I can't help but think that Capcom did with DmC what Microsoft did with the X1. Everything they wanted to change they went back on due to negative reactions. I hope something good comes from this because holy shit what a ride.

Its just puzzling that they thought that fans didn't want a DMC game when buying DmC, or something.
This definitive edition definitely looks like what they should have released in the first place. It'd still only be marginally better than DMC2, most likely, but it wouldn't be outright hated by many fans of the original series.

People can tinfoilhat me if they want, but I'm still doubling down on the theory that this game's Dante was based entirely on the hubris of the man in charge, who even modeled the character's face after himself. The shitball started at the top of the hill and just began rolling down from there, and they're still slowly undoing everything back to the way the franchise has traditionally been, from there.

It certainly would explain the butthurt reactions from Tameem when the criticism came in.

Not sure how much arrogance I'd have to posses to immediately redesign an established main character into my own face the second I got my hands on the top spot in charge of the game. That's a lot of self-obsession, there.

"I'm so beautiful and great, the world needs to see more of me. Lets replace Link's face with my own for this new Zelda game. It'll be great!"
