Pretty happy with everything they said in that to be honest. I think it's a bad direction for the series still, but I'm not gonna write it off completely until I see more. It sounds like they're put a ton of emphasis on combat and it honestly looks like it'll still be a solid action game (at worst I'm hoping it'll at least be better than most other action games, even if it's incomparable to the likes of DMC3/4 and Bayonetta). My biggest peeve with the game is the angel shit, I really hope they have a reason for that in the story. If this is supposed to be canon to the other DMC games you can't just fucking change his mother to an angel.
Hopefully more game companies adopt this policy.
Spoiler: show
That douche director obviously finds himself very cool cuz he made Dante looking like a younger version of himself.
Basically what I get from that interview is that NT sucks at combat, so Capcom are basically telling them what to do. NT's only area of expertise is story telling, I can only hope that their influence is minimal in the combat. But so far it isn't looking good if this is an acceptable amount of combat focus. DMC2 + Enslaved = DMC5?
Not as hopeless as I thought, as this interview somewhat confirmed that Capcom is staying on the combat system. So at the very least, if DMC5 sucks we can blame Capcom for not hiring Platinum Games to do the DMC remake and picking NT instead.
Seriously, fuck this guy.

How/why in the hell are they allowing this?
lol
I think the games in trouble. People are comforted by the fact that Capcom is helping with the combat system, but frankly that was getting stale just as bad as any other part of the series. The only thing about this game that I even remotely find interesting is the city itself changing shape.
I agree. Needs more cowbells.
