It is a widely known fact that I put a lot of effort into our monthly updates. I spend days gathering up pictures, writing up details, and sometimes reconstructing events to the best of my recollection. But some of those ideas just aren't quite up to snuff for the public consumption. What happens to those ideas, you ask? They wind up in an update when I can't think of anything else to write about, of course. Why look! Here's a few of them now.

War on the Middle Class- I thought about writing out a treatise about the effect of rampant deflation on the player base. I was going to do pie charts, bar graphs, maybe a 3-D plot graph or two, along with interviews of people struggling to survive in this modern economy. But then I realized that I'm no Lou Dobbs so I scrapped the idea. I guess it wasn't a bad thing, because I would probably end up taking up half of the update talking about how cheap, illegal, foreign Moogle labor is taking away jobs from Tarutarus.

Vana'diel of the Future- It's the year 2532 in Vana'diel, how has the world changed?! This update would have lots of excitement with laser guns toting Orcs and the Quadov space station. I scrapped this idea because it would be too much work Photoshopping in rings on everyone's clothes and making hover Chobobos.

Even More Overwritten Fan Fiction- After the astonishing success and universal love for the last update, I thought about using the front page as the conduit for channeling my creative expression. Sadly, I don't think that this audience is quite ready for all of my works of art.

Anyway, I could discuss the stuff we did this month, but I chose to let the pictures do the talking. (That's less I have to write. There's 16 pictures, since each one of those is worth 1000 words, that's 16,000 words total. That's a lot of writing.)
