With the release of Final Fantasy Record Keeper for mobiles yesterday I was surprised that SE did a good mobile FF that isn't an straightforward cash grab. It's sprite art of all FFs is a delight. This in turn got me thinking of games with good pixel art and one of the first to immediately come to mind ...

See that screenshot? That's the only screenshot I grabbed last night during my first couple of hours with Bloodborne, and it happened when I bought the hat. The rest of the time I was seeing everything, admiring everything... but didn't press the capture button because I was too enraptured with the visual and aural experience. And trying not to die. I failed.

Man, hasn't this been some week? Lots of news in videogame land. People finally had a chance to take an early demo for Final Fantasy XV for a spin to confirm it's not vaporware (it's pretty great!), Type-0 also got its long awaited release (wrong console, but it's better than nothing),  God of War 3 is ...

**** UPDATE: Gamespot broke news of news of internal turmoil between Kojima Productions and Konami, coming from an "insider". Apparently, it's a bit harsher than people suspected. Grain of salt, everyone. ****

Twitter folk is discussing a chain of events that can be considered quite important: as of this morning Konami has removed the "A Hideo Kojima Game" tag from its Phantom Pain website arts, there's rumours that he is no longer in an executive position ...

Hear that? That's the sound of Square Enix Store servers being scared shitless of the human avalanche that'll try to pre-order the Final Fantasy XIV's Heavensward expansion Collector's Edition (that's a mouthful). It has apparently already happened in the EU store, it will happen in the NA store.

I would say that Square Enix should have been prepared, but hey, it's Square Enix. To be honest ...
